My shocking experience of this company

I have edited this review as circumstances arise I have now been emailed by the company CEO with a full apology and admission of poor service as well as a confirmation of a high end caliper paint job The apology and admission goes a long way with me and I am nothing if not fair It will be a while before I can have my car off the road for the period it will require to take Richard up on his offer hopefully my experience with their generous compensation will more than make up for their previous misgivings and I can edit this review in it s entirety My shocking experience of this company began on 27th of March when they received my calipers No communication of receipt etc so a few days later I ring to confirm my calipers are in their possession cue 5 solid days calling emailing and leaving voicemails as well as a private facebook message to the company NOTHING I noticed disgruntled customers building up on their Facebook page and got worried so decided to publicly review them on there This prompted them to have the time to report my account but not answer the clients who were getting frustrated by their lack of comms After using another Facebook account to shame them for having the time to report accounts but not reply i finally got a response saying they were understaffed and we re busy in the workshop rather than covering phones fair enough I thought Then another week goes by no response In this time I have called the company over 25 times with no response I have the call records so my vehicle has been off the road over a month waiting for my calipers to be done By the way this was a simple bleed nipple extraction and replacement nothing more I get a blog email from their CEO telling me how it s such a lovely weekend he s going to wash his car and take his family to the beach for Easter as well as a lovely photo of him paddling with his dogs very unprofessional and highly irritating considering I have a family I couldn t take out due to his tardiness Fast forward a week n half later 25th of April And this is where the fun really starts I unwrapped my 8 pot brembo calipers to discover someone from their company had gone all Texas chainsaw on one of my calipers with a grinder on the OUTSIDE To remove a pad pin that DIDNT NEED REMOVING pics WILL be uploaded also costing me another 80 to replace all the pad pins removed for no reason When I called and spoke to Richard his first response was to Blame my packing which was impeccable with bubble wrap and packing air pouches and a box specifically for the job he then resinded as if it it was a preprepared defensive comment he makes to put the blame on the client When it was explained it was undoubtedly machine tooled with groovemarks and I had pics of the damage I would gladly send He then said it was because they had to remove a pad piston nowhere near the area I mean and offered a high end paint job in recompense He then said he would comment further on review of the photos which so far I ve heard nothing I now have an unsightly caliper with chunks gauged out of it visible through my wheels on a high end classic car I will be taking this through the motor ombudsman as this standard of service from beginning to the point I m at so far has been an ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE In balance and according to my mechanic the actual Beed nipple extraction replacement was a good job and reasonably priced But the damage caused and missing parts has ended up costing me far more to put right I don t want any more dealings with this company although ombudsman procedure is to give them a chance to put right the damage I don t have a few months where I can be carless

Wheel Refurbishment

Having paid for alloy wheel refurbishment on the website in March I was finally able to book in to the workshop in early July I was told that the process would take two days and that I would have my car back the by 5pm on the second day Having accepted this I travelled from North Yorkshire to the workshops in Nottingham a distance of 120 miles each way and paid for a hotel for the night The problem started on the morning of the second day when I phoned up to see when I could collect the car I was informed that my wheels hadn t even been stripped and were waiting to get in the acid And as a result they would not be ready that day something they surely would have known the previous evening and could have updated me with the delay I had to get back to work the following day having already taken two days off So they put my wheels back on the car The manager did make the offer of additional services to compensate for the delay however this was no good to me as it had taken months to get one appointment and two days off work lost They did provide a refund for the services however I was left out of pocket on my travel costs and hotel The website does state to ask if you feel entitled to be compensated before leaving a review this is something I did do and was informed that I was entitled to nothing by the manager The owner was going to contact me directly however this never happened

It went wrong from the moment I paid really let down by poor customer service

The length of time taken was way beyond many weeks the estimate there was a lack of communication the wrong customer was referred to instead of me and when complete there were missing and substandard parts I couldn t get through on the phone my emails were not responded to quickly and recently have not been responded to at all When the calipers were returned some parts are missing and others have been replaced with substandard parts I was left with the car unable to use these calipers for almost two months before they arrived - despite only standard parts being required I still can t use them as I now have to source the missing substandard parts myself due to the lack of any help from the company in resolving these issues I know that issues happen and that sometimes things take longer for a variety of reasons When that happens communication is critical to managing expectations and stopping a situation going bad All it takes is a phone call or a response to an email to explain honestly what the situation is Even with the issues I ve had the parts that I need to source are relatively cheap I d even fit them myself Why can t they resolve the issue rather than have a dissatisfied customer

They have you by the callipers Be Warned

While I wanted to give this company a good review and support a young business passing their details on to my many car fanatic friends I am unable to The quality of the finish does not justify the delay in getting your callipers back nor the lies told when you chase them After two weeks I was told they are nearly ready and need to be paid for which is quick because turnaround is normally 15 working days A further 3 weeks later I had still not received them They are in paint drying 2 days in an oven and then they are priority which still takes a further 10 days When the calipers arrived the finished was good but one could be said to be painted upside down as I do not own a zneb-sedecrem Whether it is a classic your pride and joy or just your daily runner an entire month 5 weeks cannot be justified Your car is off the road they have your money there are no updates and no promises You are made to feel it is your fault They have you by the calipers Before you use this company please ensure you have alternative transport For those wishing to pay by credit card they take a surcharge Something which has been illegal since January 2018

Bad quality for to much money

First time I get such a kind of bad caliper stickers ever First it took a while for delivering a couple of stickers in the UK It s simply print out the design on good sticker paper and voil Beside this the stickers are bad By peeling the transparent face the sticker who need to go on the caliper stayed on the white paper So I needed to use a knife and peel the sticker carefully from the white paper and press it to the transparent layer without damaging it A simple action of 2 minutes took me more than 10 minutes to do Hopefully the stickers will not loose from the calioer surface I cleaned the surface first with alcohol to be sure that there was not dirty or oil on it before putting the stickers 17 50 is to much money for this quality
