Poor systems and back office support

Courteous and professional customer service team apparently undermined by poor back office support Been with them for many years but will now move Too many trades and cash withdrawals requiring my own intervention to stop them hanging Currently waiting for cash T 17 days Promised emails and call backs to tell me when the money will be transferred but only had one call to tell me now T 22days Will likely move SIPP to another platform Shame

You get what you pay for

I was attracted by low dealing costs but was then met with clunky system Crashing when you try to trade need to ring them up Taking money out is not easy either there is a system bug which does not complete pending transactions and therefore available cash is showing incorrectly Again need to ring them up to sort You are then told to keep an eye on pending transactions and let them know if there is a problem - WHAT

Sadly not what it used to be

Unfortunately in the time I have been using best invest approx 5 years I have found the service provided to have deteriorated in quality The website is clunky and it is often difficult to carry out transactions which on other isa providers sites I use go through instantly I have had to chased money paid in which never appeared in the correct account and I have phoned and asked questions to be told someone would call me back which they never did I have moved some of my funds to another provider and may yet move more

I cannot print out a simple summary of my investments with you which is possible with my investments with AJBell H-L and Vantage With you I have to print out and cut and paste so I can see my seven funds on one sheet of A4 And incidentally I tried to simplify my fund listing by removing a small amount in BNY mellon global in my ISA and you merely reduced my fund there to a total of 02 -- compounding my feeling that you are not competent

It took 10 days to withdraw money from my account it was pending I made two phone calls eventually Alex got it sorted for me

Transfer process is a joke Have gone with someone else Have to fill in manual forms and post them off Don t have time for this why isn t there an online process

Customer Service Steadily Getting Worse

Been with them around 10 years and the service has got progressively worse The number of times I have to keep checking trades have been done is mind blowing I just cannot trust them to carry out a trade The latest one is they ve managed to lose some of my money They tried to say it was paid out for monthly platform fees and when I said they had the fees direct from my bank account as they ve done for the last 6 years it was oh yes I can t see many positives for stopping with Bestinvest For the fees they charge each month you expect alot better that having to check every month the scheduled trades have been carried out Edit The latest incident was a trade for 1000 was placed to but some units The 1000 consisted of money already in the account and money I added in to make it up to 1000 However the trade never happened the money stayed on the account however it was only the money I added The money that was in the account initially was lost I have asked for it to be immediately sorted and told it would take several days to sort That s how important it is to you at Bestivest This is NOT an isolated incident and no doubt I ll have to chase for a response

At the beginning of December I put a transfer out to Vanguard - that s still not done in May throwing made up red tape twice not used by many other UK SIPP providers wet ink signature transfer out form filled in by pen and paper and scanned - I had done that months ago they haven t called me even once and multi-month delays in responses to emails They do it either because they re insolvent will have to contact pension regulator or they delay it procedurally in order to charge they higher than other SIPP providers fees They withhold what is not theirs One such person using delays in communication - Katie L I demand immediate transfer out and refund of fees Problems and multi month delays in responses with pension tax relief I have confirmation from our SIPP team that your tax relief was accidentally missed Eventually fixed obviously without a compensation And they do have my account client number on this platform in the hidden client code but likely they will mess up this stage of customer service as well Will edit this review once this is transferred Edit 16th of May Vanguard has confirmed receiving funds on 16 May Happy From the above I have increased the score 1 and anonymised Katie s surname - neither of which had been asked for by Bestinvest Trustpilot Trustpilot is very good by the way they don t censor and there is one other review on my profile of another company - Google had removed it but Trustpilot has kept it - Trustpilot is very good
