Overall the watch is pretty simple I just feel like it s overpriced for what it actually provides I ve liked the app for a long time but I feel like the watch is just a reach for money

Frustrating Customer Support Experience

Edit After BM s response I reached out to them and am giving 2 stars vs the 1 star I started with as I still feel that the customer service experience for me was severely lacking After speaking with BM there was a major miscommunication in that when you sign up online you must choose to use either the IOS or Android app and in all the times I asked about the app and signing up this was never said If that had simply been shared from the start the entire process would have been much easier and I d give a better rating While I appreciate that the issue is now resolved the bottom line is that it never had to get to this level of frustration So I ve signed up now I ll review the app again after a few months Note that this isn t an app review as I ve not signed up but a customer service review as the lack of help is why I ve decided not to sign up I recently encountered a puzzling and frustrating experience while trying to get assistance from BetterMe After taking the quiz on their website I received a discount offer but realized the mobile app would better suit my needs I reached out to their customer service to inquire about obtaining a discount code for the Play Store I did get many emails over the next week to remind me to use my discount code and I replied to every one asking about a PS discount I ve asked this question Thank you for the discount code I ve decided to use the app on my Android phone instead Can I get any discount code for the Play Store I ve also sent separate emails directly to customer service There have been at least 24 submissions of my request I ve lost count now I ve gotten about 4 responses all of which go something like When you sign up on PS you get a free trial and can choose your plan when it ends When I respond to this response with my same question I get no response I m not sure why my question is stumping them so badly It s disappointing that a seemingly straightforward question would not be answered Even a We don t currently offer PS discount codes would have been welcome This lack of clear communication has forced me to reconsider using their service I hope they can improve their customer support for a better user experience

Was fully charged on the day of buying a trial

I signed up for a free trial and the same day 1 was taken my account a minute later 58 was also taken I don t know why this happened I was very careful when signing up If my review is seen then please update your site on the sign up page and review the language that is used It was difficult to assure any response as there s no reply timeframe when sending an email and no UK number to ring - I think this should be updated alsoI left a trustpilot review and pretty much immediately received a reply to my email where they have agreed to refund the 58 If I m being honest I m not where I want to be financially so for 58 to be removed my account without any clear indication was extremely stressful I appreciate that it was refunded but genuinely am appalled that it happened in the first place so I have updated my review to 2 stars Thanks for your help support team but there s definitely some improvements that desperately need to be made

There are lots of positives about the BetterMe app the menu plans are simple and I like the daily Wall Pilates workouts that take into account my goals My disappointment is that after 3 months of subscription there is no progression with the exercises it just repeats the same programme I m having to progress them myself I ve emailed for support but just receive an automated robot response Very disappointing I plan to cancel my subscription

Bit of a con

Bit of a con They auto sign you up for a renewal without warning you which is expensive And not really a great app so had stopped using it Feel its really underhand the way companies cheat you into a follow up subscription If the product was any good you would renew anyway Just to be clear I received no such confirmation letter after I first subscribed as mentioned in the company s reply

Very Poor Customer Service

UPDATE Since then the company reached out to me and have refunded the charges back to my card However I m still not impressed with how the issue was dealt with and left unresolved until I came on here and left a lousy review They seriously need to improve the speed of customer service Scam Scam Scam Avoid at all costs They ve taken money off my card for the trial which did not work When I contacted support they said they would look into it but have not replaiued to any of emails since then Now they ve taken 3 months subscription off my card eventhough I have never used the app and requested them to cancel the memebership immediately

Appalling customer service EDIT better if you complain publically

EDIT In response to this review BetterMe have now responded by processing my refund which I m happy with I didn t receive any email telling me this though my email spam filter is pretty keen and I may have missed it What I have received are two later emails asking me to edit or remove this review I ve had the refund I requested so I have edited and added a star but as it took 3 months and a public review to get a response I stand by this review Appalling customer service I accidently allowed subscription to renew - I didn t cancel my fault- however payment was actually taken a number of days before the actual renewal date So I requested a refund on that basis Email response asking for subsription and payment details to be provided I d already provided some but my outgoing email is a different address to the subscription one so I sent more info - all the info Nothing no response since September 15th or to several follow up emails

The worst customer service

The worst customer service I have been trying to cancel my subscription but they keep on advising that I follow the steps Which I did and continue to complete however their final email to confirm cancellation never gets to me and I The meantime they collect money from my card on a monthly basis This is starting to feel like a scam It is so frustrating I just want my subscription cancelled Update 8 December 2023 - Happy to advise that following this review BetterMe cancelled my subscription
