Absolute scam Go Assist Big Warranties PartnershipMissold to begin with don t actually know how I ended up with an 8 99 direct debit the fridge freezer broke appliance worth over 2000 several engineers over several month didn t repair in the end they said beyond economical repair settlement of 107 Joke You can t dispute it as their T Cs are airtight The policy should ve covered me for 500 but it s their discretion The settlement should ve ended my agreement but they are trying to charge me 50 to end the agreement post settlement I m fighting it and will happily go to court I d rather pay legal fees than another 50 to them scammers

DO NOT deal with this company

DO NOT deal with this company I was talked into an insurance policy by Go Assist - another company to avoid - for the repair of my fridge freezer and because the cost of the repair was so high I decided to buy a new one I therefore had a policy on a non existent appliance which I immediately tried to cancel Big Warranties are charging me 50 to cancel a non existent policy Neither did they call me back when they said they would This has all happened within a few days They are ABSOLUTE cheats 50 for doing nothing This type of company should be called out for exploiting people

Do not go anywhere near them they do not care about their customers Been waiting since June to get my washing machine repaired been given the run around with all types of excuses wrong part sent engineers car broken down DON T TRUST THEM my biggest mistake was renewing the policy

Worst experience

Worst experience Iam wothoyt my fridge for nearly 3 months now They did not abide by there terms and conditions They dont reply have to chase them every time Cant speak woth anyone higher just team at customer service and they are bad as each other

I belive this company is in violation of the Financial Conduct Authority Please do not use them If you have used them please contact the Financial Ombudsman Service It is easy and free to use and will get you your money back Costs them an additional 500 each time

Avoid Big Warranties

Avoid Big Warranties After my cooker manufacturer warranty expired I was contacted by BW to take out an extended warranty with them My cooker recently developed a fault After contacting BW I was told an engineer was not available in my area I live an hour from London due to engineer unavailability my cooker was written off and a poor monetary offer was made Terrible customer service with no further explanation or help I would seriously advise to not deal with Big Warranties

I would give zero stars if I could When my washing machine broke down I was persuaded to take out this insurance for a reduced call-out fee If the machine could be economically fixed I would have been happy but the repair cost was over 450 and I note a new machine of the same type is 429 in John Lewis Called by BIG Warranties and told I have to pay a 50 cancellation as the machine could have been fixed Person on phone wanted to argue when I said it was disgusting I wanted nothing more to do with him and said just cancel it Quite a shocking experience

50 cost of cooling-off period

My cooker failed and I foolishly contacted a repairer s website who passed me to the smooth-talking sales team flogging appliance repairs at Big Warranties After I discovered it was irrelevant to any repairs I asked for cancellation and a refund within the 24-day cooling-off period It was only then I was told that I d received a discounted repair quote of 150-97 from repairer as well as paying monthly an 8-95 debit There was to be a 50 fee chargeable and I was expected to discuss with the repairer if I wanted this waived This doesn t correspond with my understanding of a cooling-off period I don t need to supply any reason at all to cancel Big Warranty can contact the repairer themselves if they consider it necessary

Avoid using Big Warranties First of all it will take ages to wait for engineer being able to attend Secondly after attempting the repair and fitting the new part my washing machine got completely broken and needs to be scrapped now due to the faulty part Big warranties don t take liability for messing up my machine and offers 130 which is not going to buy me a new machine Don t trust them your appliances because they will break them Avoid at all cost

Sneaky

Had this sneakily added to a repair call out with go assist as a re-occuring card payment Had people out to look at a dishwasher which never ended up getting repaired only to notice a recurring card charges coming out paying for a warranty for work that never took place To top it off they automatically charged my account another 50 to end the warranty on the non existent work I let them know I was going to raise it with the ombudsman and was cheerfully informed by the call center operative that they arent regulated Watch out for these people
