Items with short dates and one OUT OF DATE
I just ordered 17 boxes of Mr Kipling cakes to give to relatives for Christmas here in America Six of them have Best By dates just 10 days from their arrival on my doorstep They will be well past their best by Christmas And a box of Thorntons chocolates has a Best By date of October 31st It is early December We paid 60 dollars for shipping The service was very fast but to get an out of date item Terrible

I ordered baby formula from this company and never received my items They said it is a possibility that it would get stopped at customs however never Informed me that they actually have 5 of formula that does not get through They refuse to help me in any way and believe that because they said it was a possibility that they have no responsibility with this Customs will be returning this formula to them so they not only will receive back all of their merchandise to sell to someone else but they also keep my money over 200USD and my infant son does not have this formula It s not right

Do not order for delivery to France
On the 2nd of December I ordered Xmas items to be shipped to France According to their website the delivery time estimate was 5 working days It is now 23rd December and there is still no sign of my parcel arriving The delivery company - Colis Privee has been sitting on my parcel since 8th December I have a tracking number but as the parcel seems to be stuck somewhere nothing has changed since the 8th December Colis privee have a very bad reputation here in France the words incompetant inefficient and even swindlers appear frequently in reviews about them They have a helpline that is surtaxed at 2 50 and statistically only relpy to 50 of the complaints made by customers I have called Britstore several times but so far this has not helped Beware also of the telephone number that you enter on the Britsore site I put in the full number including the country code This was of course truncated by the delivery company so the phone number that they have for me is wrong I sent several e-mails to them to correct it but it is still wrong on their system If ever my parcel arrives I have no idea if I can get a refund The parcel contains items ordered for christmas 2016 These items will not be good for 2017

Do not recommend
Do not recommend if sending order to Spain Took 34 days to arrive with an added 24 prior to delivery Initial customer service was fine when I queried where the order was when it was held in Spanish customs Britstore stated it was up to me to contact customs in Spain I pointed out as the sender it was their responsibility I never heard from them again Have had no problems post Brexit with any other company delivering goods from UK to Spain Britstore standard response it s due to Brexit Avoid expensive not worth the hassle nor the constant delays due to Brexit

Poor Customer Service
Have just taken delivery here in Spain of an order worth 9 52 British pounds with a handling charge of 16 48 British Pounds so i was aware of the extraordinary charge involved But was not expecting to pay Import Duty 7 30 euros Telephoned Customer service not helpful at all DO NOT BUY one star service like most others

Misleading
I have just received an order from Britsuperstore even though I already paid them 35 Shipping Handling fee I have been charges 36 to La Poste to receive the Parcel in France In an email from them them say that it does state on our website that Duties VAT fees may be applicable in your country that it is the customers responsability to check So word of warning do not order from them warn anyone who might do so I have learnt from my mistake will never order again

They don t estimate customs fees to your detriment
The prices were high including shipping but I decided to go for it However The customs fees in Sweden were very high Although the company has a disclaimer on their website unlike many other e-commerce sites they do not estimate the customs fee for you Therefore this led to me spending over 100 for a few cans of something altogether I wrote to them asking for a refund and they had a pre-written response showing that many people probably had a similar experience I don t recommend ordering from this company if you are outside of the UK because in all likelihood you will be subject to excess fees - but what do they care I m very upset about this experience and the amount of money that I spent
