Renegade ocean front house
Upon pulling into the driveway the first thing you see is all the overgrown weeds taking over. The house has a small refrigerator that will not accommodate a weeks worth of groceries for family of 12 for the week. Master bath had soap scum and disgusting shower curtain. We had maintenance come out to give us a small additional frig. We also asked them to replace the two filters for the ac since they were totally blocked. We were afraid the dryer was going to catch fire, it’s filled with lint and the screen to clean is rusted and ripped. The so called garage bedroom and bath should not count. In order to get to it you have to walk down open wooden steps and walk through a construction site into a mud puddle to enter the room. Of course that was not shown in pictures. The living room furniture needs to be replaced. It’s worn out, you sit on springs. Back upper deck needs a few boards to be replaced due to rotted wood. I would recommend skipping this house for your family vacation. We have been going to Topsail for 18 years and have never rented a house in such disrepair. Speaking with the maintenance department it seems if renters don’t let them know what’s needed to be repaired they would never find out. They should be more on top of checking the homes people pay big money for. My family was highly disappointed with this home.

Vacation has a new destination and it is Seaship
The Seaship house we stayed at in Carolina Beach was spectacular House was easy to get to and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay and then some I found this house via VRBO and the pics on that site showed different couches and chairs and a dining room table however when we arrived we realized the furniture had been upgraded and it was a pleasant surprise Also the fact that the mattresses were actually comfortable and seemed somewhat new were a welcome addition to our stay Nothing to me is worse than going on vacation and the mattresses are older than I am and making for a rough week of sleeping All and all i would highly recommened Seaship to any future vacationers and if Carolina Retreats takes care of their other rentals the way they take care of this one then I highly recommend using their properties as well

We enjoyed our stay at The Beach House
We enjoyed our stay at The Beach House OKI It was super convenient having the slider doors to an outdoor space for our dog to use and we had the best spot right across from the beach access We look forward to coming back soon

Great vacation
As usual our stay in Topsail was awesome Our beach rental had a few issues that were quickly rectified by the Topsail Realty staff They were very quick to respond and provided great customer service

Carolina retreats were great to work
Carolina retreats were great to work with The staff was friendly They were very easy to communicate with We had an issue with our condo and they sent someone out right away to fix the issue

The house was very nice with two levels
The house was very nice with two levels and a wonderful porch overlooking the ocean Nice outdoor shower The house was in nice condition If I had one criticism it s that the heating air conditioning was a bit noisy I would have no hesitation in renting it again The path to the beach was short and this part of the beach is wide and beautiful

We loved our stay at Beach Coma It s unusual to have a house with the living space on the first floor yet still have an amazing view of the ocean The house is always clean well maintained and is well stocked with essentials and convenience items Highly recommend

We have nothing but good things to say about Carolina Retreats We had two small issues with our cottage which were both addressed quickly and with friendly staff Would definitely rent through them again

The room was comfortable and very clean
The room was comfortable efficient and very close to the event center where I was attending a wedding The bed was firm and quite comfortable I walked to the pier restaurant and event in five minutes Beach access is right across the street I will definitely stay here again
