DO NOT STAY

I booked a room to stay with my girlfriend for our anniversary as it was recommended by a friend I think he was blind deaf and nose blind when he stayed here We were promised a double room with an en-suite We got a family room with a private bathroom that wasn t attached to the room I say private but anybody on the same floor as us can just walk into the bathroom The stench of the putrid room actually made us feel sick The paint was coming off the walls The bed wasn t comfy and seemed unwashed The towels were more like flannels and a dark colour to try and hide the stains they were riddled with The drawer was barely put together and the knobs fell off the bracket The rooms smelt like something had died and someone had smoked a whole pack of cigarettes to mask the stench The photos were very misleading There was a nice blonde girl that showed us to our room and once I came down saying that me and my girlfriend were not willing to stay she kindly said that it wasn t a problem and a refund was a possibility She went and got what I assume was the landlord and he came up to us both in a confrontational manor I explained that we were promised a private bathroom and that the room was not up to scratch He tried to assure us that it was private and the room was ok I said that we didn t want to stay due to the state of the room and that we wanted a refund He said due to the fact that we booked through booking com he couldn t issue a refund We ended up leaving before we could even get our bags out the car and found a travelodge I would have rather slept in my car then spend another minute In that place Do not book here unless you want a disappointing stay

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

My husband I went to The Parkers Arms Cattlemans Steak House for our date night Had a lovely meal the food was excellent It s not cheap 26 for my husband s mixed grill but we couldn t fault it at all Our waitress was lovely she was very friendly made us feel welcome She couldn t do enough for us We ll definitely go again will probably try one of the fantastic looking steaks on a stone

The best way to eat a steak Fillet steak was amazing Can cook it to exactly how you want it on a lava rock Top marks for this restaurant So tasty and full of flavour Staff are outstanding
