Centrelink is a disgrace Cannot reach out via phone or take hours if they don t drop the call Atrocious level of customer service no empathy nor trained to know how to guide people Mistake after mistake we received a comm telling us we had 0 CCS but it was a mistake later corrected yet which caused us lots of stress Then we have recently received debt bill of 26K without any logic or breakdown of the figures Centrelink is meant to help isn t it Well it s causing my family nothing else than high anxiety during a cost of living crisis

Centrelink has become the Qantas of the government agencies Management take home their large pay packets the front-line staff don t care and justify their poor work practices and ethics on their being sooooo busy And its the everyday Australians who need their assistance who are let down Whoever in the public service government who is ultimately responsible for Centrelink is no better than Alan Joyce Let s hope they are thrown out just the way it happened to Alan

Pensioner Concessions cancelled on July 1
If you happen to be overseas on July 1st Centrelink will cancel all any Pensioner Concessions that you are entitled to Even if you are away for that one day The onus is then on the Pensioner Concession Card holder to reapply despite having advised Centrelink of the dates you will be out of the country So far this is the 3rd year in a row What a shambles

About as effective as a poker machine
Never have I ever come across a more obtuse bunch of buffoons in all my decades I hereby name them the pokies because you keep giving and giving and giving and you get nothing back After months of trying to arrange temporary assistance they want yet more forms signed but their own website doesn t support electronic signatures so you have to print the form sign it then drive your vehicle to a Pokies office to hand it over to a customer service rep only to be told to go away locate something else and do it all over again This in the year 2024 Ka-ching ka-ching ka-ching ka-ching How is this even possible The system is spectacularly flawed and designed to be so extraordinarily arduous that people just give up and cancel it all In fact after months of getting nowhere and deciding to cancel it before I actually did lose my mind the cancellation online took less than 7 seconds Read that again No signature required Just the click of a box It was the only part of the process that actually worked Anything literally anything at all would be easier than having to deal with this circus

After working for most of my adult life i resigned from my job to move interstate to care for my mother who has terminal cancer After 4 months no response calling service australia Saying it escalated The last consultant said apply for job seekers even though carers application after 4 months I m left with no choice but to go to media
