Compassmining io 9 Months of Offline Miners Slow or Unfulfilling Responses and Now a Shakedown I m writing this review in utter frustration and disappointment with Compassmining io For over 9 months my 5 S19XP miners have been offline stuck in the supposed relocation process I have contacted customer support regarding relocation Usually they take about a week or 2 to respond They informed me that all relocated S19 miners were going to be inspected cleaned and repaired before relocation and that the process would take 10 to 12 weeks I initially invested around 80 000 in these miners expecting a return on investment through your promised mining services Instead I ve been left with 5 expensive paperweights Just when I thought things couldn t get worse Compassmining io now informs me that one of the miners the one that was online for only a couple of months before the 9-month hiatus is out of warranty and requires a 548 hash board repair 200 in shipping Was not the machine inspected and repaired before being sent to a new facility as it was promised on the emails and customer tickets Communicating with support through a variety of tickets they informed me that the only thing they could do was to waive the required shipping fees and just charge me 548 This after 9 months of inactivity on the relocation front It feels like a calculated attempt to squeeze more money out of a frustrated customer I m at my wit s end Where are my other miners When will they be online Are they even operational anymore Will I have to pay 548 200 for all of them And why am I now facing a hefty repair bill on a miner that barely saw the light of day before vanishing for months the same one that was supposedly inspected and repaired before redeployment To all potential Compassmining io customers Do your research Heed my story This is not a company you can trust with your hard-earned money The lack of communication transparency and now seemingly questionable practices should raise serious red flags Compassmining io my trust in your service is completely eroded Until I receive concrete answers about my miners status and a resolution to this ongoing nightmare I urge everyone to consider alternative options Your lack of clarity speaks volumes and it paints a bleak picture of your business practices

4th Power Rate Increase Website Issues

They raised my mining power rate for the fourth time in 1 1 2 years after moving my miner following months of down time They also recently updated their website and had issues rolling it out I can no longer pay my invoice on my iPhone and get an error Application error a client-side exception has occurred When I try to pay on their website after I select Complete Payment the icon spins and nothing ever happens This company does not take care of their customers and the trouble they have experienced They only take care of themselves and what they believe is in their companies best interest but not their customers

Advertised miners to go online and after a year of delays where the economics of the miners made no sense will not make accommodations and will steal your miners Corrupt and dysfunctional and takes no responsibility

I really had high hopes for this company

I really had high hopes for this company If I could do it all over again I would definitely go another route I have not had any different experience than many of the others when it comes to being unresponsive and zero service The most recent is I wired in my hosting fees for December and instead of using that to pay my hosting fees they just put it in my credits Of course I start to get email after email about not paying They then shut down my miners and refuse to respond All businesses go through rough patches and I would expect that compass is no different If they would just respond to emails or offer any kind of service it would eliminate a lot of this angst If you are looking for good service and communication go somewhere else You will get neither at compass

5th Power Rate Increase

Compass just raised my hosting power fee again I ve been with another hosting company for 2 years and they ve never raised my rate once They even replaced a bad hash board free of charge I start to make a profit with Bitcoin mining due to the BTC price increase and Compass continues to raise my power rates You start to make a profit mining and then it is taken away each time I can t imagine if my own power company for my home were to do this My power rate for my household electricity has never increased in the last 5 years I had so many problems with these miners getting up and running originally They are up and running now and I just get power rate increase emails Please stop raising my rates

Terrible Hosting Company

With only 1 8 of the miner operational frequent downtime and relocation I strongly advise against choosing Compass Mining One of my XP units has been in the repair queue for the past 300 days Yes you read that correctly 300 days for 1 hashboard repair

Anyone that writes anything that is more than one star review is paid by this company For me this has been an ongoing nightmare Compass do not respond On rare occasions when they respond it is some vague update with no assistance at all I am scared that I lost 20k with Compass my miner has not worked for 10 months If anyone is keen to take legal action please count me in

Disappointed with compass mining withdrawals process it need to be easy as deposit For a smoother experience Highstake LLC would possibly be the way to go

Service has gone seriously downhill

Originally signed up and purchsed 5 AntMiners in 2021 Things went pretty well although always had to email in when the miners went offline should have been automated up until about 6 months ago At that point they redeveloped their website including the use of Auth0 for authentication Now it s a major headache to even login At the same time they stopped support emails and instead make you submit a ZenDesk ticket no customer first approach there Currently my miners are about to get shut off because my monthly invoice is overdue but there s no invoice available in the portal Support tend to ignore anything that s ahrd to fix and I ve run out of energy to constantly chase them I d recommed avoiding Compass Mining unless you get an absolute bargain on miners mine will be for sale as soon as I can login AND have a lot of time and patience to deal with their terrible support and web site
