Overpriced and behind the times

Charged 25 euro to transfer insurance temporarily for admin when other insurers do this online for free Quote with cornmarket broker was way higher than the exact same cover with the same insurer RSA at a different online broker Using phone and email and not being able to do very much on your online portal is outdated

No discount for pro drivers

Tried to update my address 3 miles from my old address and my insurer cancelled me the insurer and Cornmarket both charged me a fee and couldn t offer any other policy better than 4 times the price of my old policy They supposedly specialise in coverage for pro drivers As a professional lorry and bus driver with a clean license a family car and 15 years of experience cornmarket treated me like a reckless teenager and never offered any discount or even any competitive policy Waste of time and money dealing with these middlemen

I think it s made so difficult to access your payments that it would put you off When I signed up it was sold as something that its not Took ages to get payments and even then it wasn t what I expected Would consider cancelling my payment protection due to the red tape and all the paperwork involved

I am still awaiting my policy documents

I am still awaiting my policy documents and insurance disc even though I paid my deposit weeks ago and sent in my no claims bonus which I know you have received as ye rang me I have emailed you twice and received no reply I cannot tax my car without my insurance details Cannot understand the delay

Frustrating time consuming and disappointing experience

The team at Cornmarket home insurance made an error when setting up my policy It meant that I had to make multiple calls over a 6-7 week period Each time they put me on hold for over 40 minutes as they chatted with team leaders admin and others It has been a very frustrating time consuming and disappointing experience I have now had to cancel the existing policy and set up a new one despite it being their error and they are slow in communicating anything regarding the refund owed to me I am now out of pocket hundreds of euro

consultation with Tim O Carroll

I had a consultation with Tim O Carroll on 5th Sept The one question I wanted answered was on my age of retirement he wasn t able to answer me and said he would ask a colleague I have still not heard back from him During the consultation he mis calculated my mortgage and said I need to increase my mortgage irish life from 19 to nearly 70 a month To be honest I don t think he knew what he was talking about

Very frustrating process

I had serious delays in receiving a decision from the underwriters I completed a phone interview on the 2nd October and then wrote to them on the 4th asking if a decision had been made I received a reply on the 8th which stated it is difficult to say how long the process will take I wrote again on the 16th October and was sent a reply on the 17th October stating that a decision had been made on the 8th October and Cornmarket had been informed on the that date

Not fit for purpose

I have contacted Cornmarket on a number of occasions and they were to ring me back and never did I waited for 40 minutes at one stage and they kept telling me it would be only 10 minutes This is my second year having this experience In my opinion this company is not fit for purpose

Absolutely appalling customer service

Absolutely appalling customer service - I was 2 1 2 hours waiting on a health insurance line with 15 in front of me and was of course cut off And no email address to be seen - Cornmarket are saving costs at the customers expense I won t be renewing with them for sure

Not worth it

Similar to a number of reviews I used Cornmarket for their tax return service as offered a discount with the company I work for I have contacted Cornmarket on a number of occasions to cancel their services as they charge you monthly for nothing Their customer service is non-existance and only started emailing me when I threaten to leave their services I would save your money and speak to real financial advisors
