Not as good as they make out The old onto old information when every other credit reporting system updates I have information that was removed over a year ago but these guys keep it on Funny enough even the credit score company they use have removed the information Always check with the leading credit reference agencies Do not take credit karma s information as completely accurate

Good site with helpful info but they try to encourage you to take out more credit cards just for the fun of it This is totally unacceptable A bit like they warn you with bookmakers with responsible gambling with firms like this it should be responsible lending

Too little too late
I spent months trying to get my home address corrected For some unknown reason CK had a non existent address for me and constantly told me I was not on the electoral register I have been at the same address and on the electoral register for 16 years This obviously impacted my credit score Eventually after sending many requests I deregistered so I didn t have to look at it anymore I believe it is now sorted but it was too little too late for me Aside from this I like the app which is why I gave 2 stars

I signed up very recently where I had to answer a set o questions to verify myself all the answers were I know 100 correct but Credit Karma could not verify me I filled in details on their help section and explained the problem Customer services emailed back with case number 00494177 Also ref number 00494392 They said they would attempt to delete my record of current registration and if I could send a photo of a driving licence or passport by return email this would be sufficient as proof of who I am This I did then I get another email to say the email address does not answer emails What the hell is going on Does anyone really care anymore I m still waiting

Pfffff meh
Yes you get an update and can work on your score BUT communication with them is almost impossible I have a completely wrong address on my history and although this has been corrected by my bank I can t get it changed on Credit Karma Pfffff All in all a bit meh I think most banks have credit checkers now I will probably be using that option moving forward

I ve been using the Credit Karma app
I ve been using the Credit Karma app for a long time but lately it feels like it s turning into a scam I keep receiving emails saying I have an excellent chance of getting a new credit card only to find out it s an offer for a BITS card which is a total scam They charge monthly fees for some greedy company and you get nothing in return Then I receive emails claiming I might have won 5000 This entire game played by these credit companies is a scam exploiting the most vulnerable people TransUnion Experian and others have built businesses on poverty which is very wrong Credit Karma offers products from scam companies which is very bad and this business should be heavily regulated How can a company charge fees for something you don t have and can t use while promising to improve your score It s a very bad business practice

Just a giant scam
Credit scoring from which ever company is a complete scam You pay on time manage everything reasonably well within how they say and guess what You score goes down I ve got 5 years of nothing negative stick to a sensible credit utilisation and nothing no score increase worth mentioning and then to top it all off if you ignore all of the sales emails your score goes down Reference agencies are no better than back street loan sharks promising you will be better off if you take their exclusive deals when in reality nothing you do will ever get you a decent score increase and if you do take one of their exclusives guess what Your score goes downYou are only a commission cash cow to the credit reference agencies and it is about time the fca barred them from acting as a broker

Pretty basic and Pathetic
Pretty basic not very informative and worst of all missing data Even though I raise a dispute they blame the credit provider Credit Karma is never at fault can t help you improve your score unless you take more credit out which actually doesn t help it reduces your score so significantly that it takes years to improve your score Credit Karma like others are scams to hood wink you into getting more credit on the false pretence it will improve your score Unfortunately what they don t tell you it s an impossible merry go round of lies They could even explain their scoring system to me that s how pathetic they are
