I was not happy at all

I was not happy at all The loan took too long even though I provided everything required from me and even the amount I applied for was not given to me It was easier to apply for loan when I was on benefits than when I am earning a salary

Don t know how to interpret decision

At first the loan process was streamlined and to be fair I didn t upload all documents as timely as I should have I was asked for further documents which I sent As a healthcare professional in significant debt it felt like I would be helped I provided dialect that evidenced that I would use the loan to consolidate but was flatly refused I m sure that the feedback response will be sympathetic but as someone who has not missed any payments in years I was a viable option in my opinion Also the option for salary deduction was available if I was offered a lower amount it still would have helped Consolidation should be looked at what it is not an add on payment that is unaffordable

15 working days to clear a cheque Laughable I m all in favour of credit unions but this one is very badly run High charges for a poor quality current account and no interest on savings I ll be closing my accounts soon and going back to free High St banking with interest paid on savings

Very poor service do not stress

Very poor service do not stress yourself opening an account here other high street banks offer faster and efficient service If you get paid benefits every now and then they won t appear in your account on time Problems with cards are not dealt with quickly Save yourself the stress 04 09 2023 I am editing my review to add that the complaints process with the bank is frustrating and has got me nowhere One text alert transaction does not appear on my downloaded online bank account I am so frustrated with this bank I have made a complaint with the Financial Ombudsman

They are unhelpful people especially

They are unhelpful people especially those behind the approval I applied for a loan in which it is not much- i was declined 4 times Monthly a 200 are taken out from my salary automatically as savings I dont understand that they think i cannot afford to pay 200 a month for the loan i am applying and yet i have 200 monthly savings that goes to LMCU Unhelpful and inconsiderate

Very disappointing experience

They re supposed to be better than the main banks at providing affordable loans to those who need them yet they declined due to a tiny speck from 5 years ago in my credit file Very disappointing A human was supposed to be reviewing the application and I can t figure out how that person reached their decision And I had to wait 4 days to be rejected Very unpleasant experience

Liars and thieves

I have been trying to transfer money into my bank account for 5 days now and they still haven t sent my request they lied about the amount I was offered and now refuse to transfer my funds that I put into their account to release the loan They aren t helping and I would not recommend

Interest rates are too high Even though I can pay back the loan I have never been given what I ask for over the amount of a thousand pounds even though for the last 17 years I have paid back every loan that I have taken

Horrible Blatant criminal

I only gave 1 star because the dialog box to comment wouldn t come down without at least 1 star My wish was to give 0 stars The reason I am so grumpy is because I spent the night in ER hospital due to falling ill I tried to get cash for a taci home at 07 45 and it would not let me take my money because they block it until their yime I note they start at 09 35 seriously Sitting in reception by the AMT to get my money How uncivilised This credit union is really criminal So many incidents of being unable to take my money or pay for stuff I have money

Shocking Service from the Loan Department

As a loyal member of LMCU for 18 years I am deeply disappointed by the abysmal service I received from the Loan Department My recent loan application submitted on 11th November has been handled with complete incompetence and a total disregard for professionalism The person managing my application has caused significant distress by updating that my payment has been issued today when it clearly has not no update on my account or confirmation Despite repeated attempts to seek clarification via email my queries have been completely ignored Even more troubling a private and confidential email I addressed to the Head of the Loan Department Mr Sweetlove was read and acted upon by someone within the Loan Department This is a blatant violation of confidentiality and trust This experience has ruined my Christmas and left me feeling deeply undervalued as a long-standing member LMCU s service has drastically declined and I sincerely hope they take immediate action to address this unacceptable treatment I will be raising a formal complaint and hope no one else has to endure the stress and frustration I ve experienced
