I spent the best part of 3 weeks

I spent the best part of 3 weeks sanding all my deck boards back to good as new I decided to buy and treat it with Cuprinol Anti-Slip Decking Stain urban slate My decking was sanded and dry of any damp last summer I put 4 coats of it on it was painful work but wanted it to be done properly and I wouldn t have to worry about it for a good few years Unfortunately not even 7 months on and it s already lifted and looks like i haven t even put two coats let alone 4 Rubbish product cost me 400 odd pounds and it s nothing but a waste of time and money DONT BUY Honestly do not buy this for your decking

The worst product in history

One star awarded because there isn t a zero star option After many hours on our hands and knees our deck looked great This lasted about three weeks tops before the stain began to lift and six months later it looks like we never touched it We are extremely experienced users of paint related products and this is unquestionably the WORST thing we have used in over 40 years Total trash

Expensive mistake

Painted wooden garden table and chairs Followed instructions It looked great initially But within a couple of weeks it started to lift and wear off It appeared to wash off in heavy rain This is NOT WEATHERPROOF Really disappointed I spent an entire weekend painting prepping outdoor dining set I was telling a friend what happened When she asked the brand she reported that a similar thing happened to her when she painted her shed Stay away from this Expensive rubbish

Just spent all weekend painting a new

Just spent all weekend painting a new fence and an old fence bought 2 9litre tubs of Cuprinol ducks back silver copse from Screwfix today it s raining and the paint is washing off surely this is not right it had over 12 hrs to dry what a complete joke Would like to add the customer service from AkzoNoble is second to none they went above and beyond to rectify the issue

Wishy washy stain cheap and weak

Cuppernel Dutch back never use such cheap streaky shed fence paint four coats on the shed still looks streaky still looks awful very very poor adhesion back to using protek products for your more professional finish will definitely not ever buy this again ps also replies from cuprinol seem to be same replies

Autumn gold is ORANGE on Cuprinol

Autumn gold is ORANGE on Cuprinol ducksback in the tin itself and definitely NOT the shade shown on the label I feel conned a second time after my previous purchase of delicate pine which was bright green This company need serious looking into for ripping customers off with deceptive colour descriptions I only bought this second colour hoping to correct the first yucky green but it s sickly looking like the first Absolutely disgusted with Cuprinol

Terrible

UpdateThank you Sam from Technical for advice and we shall use the garden shades which we used on our BBQ hut and still perfect 10 years laterTerrible Prepared fences 3 coats used 2 full tins left it a day between coats 1st rain all washing off from top of fences down Looks worse than before applying Waste of money and the effort of my 73 year old husband

Bought ducksback autumn gold for my new

Bought ducksback autumn gold for my new fence expecting the colour from the tin Foolishly didn t heed the bright orange colour of the paint on opening the tin and painted two panels- orange Thinking it would deepen to the correct shade on subsequent coats I tried a second but no It is bright orange and hideous especially when the sun hits it Nothing like the advertised colour Fine I thought I ll buy something else to paint over it- but it turns out that to do so I m stuck with more ducksback with limited and questionable colours as other brands won t adhere to it Absolutely sickened to have ruined my new fence

WORSE PAINT I ve ever used

Bought Cuprinol Ducksback in B M great price but TOTAL waste of money I don t remember ever using such a bad paint very poor coverage with first coat not much better with second coat just heading into town to buy proper paint Don t waste your money on this rubbish

Ducksback is NOT waterproof

I bought Cuprinol ducksback for our garden fence It was the delicate pine colour We used 7 tins 5ltr for a fence that is approx 60 square metres We painted it twice over 2 days a coat each day We put much more on the fence than was recommended It was prepared correctly and was bone dry over 20 degrees for weeks before and stayed dry for few weeks after too it was painted around a month ago Just been outside and the paint is coming off in the rain It looked brilliant when done but now is starting to come off Not happy
