My wife died on the 9th of October last

My wife died on the 9th of October last year I am still not happy with the memorial stone I have since emailed their office in Aberdeen requesting a refund of my money which I paid in advance and the stone to be removed by the end of the week Not only am I grieving for my wife but i have this upset to deal with as well The Aberdeen office have agreed that the stone is far too low in the ground but nothing has been done Dignity Funerals have never contacted me inspite of many emails to their Aberdeen office

Absolutely atrocious

Absolutely atrocious I am a disabled Veteran requested a funeral with a service willing to pay 2000 deposit and then pay 400 00 per month I have a nearly 6000 insurance policy I have already purchased my Grave Was told someone would calk to speak further that was three days ago Obviously business is booming now What happens when other pensioners start passing after Starmers taking away the Heating allowance Obviously this company is not really interested in your loved one s avoid at all costs

Update to cut a long story short

I see that the response from Dignity is still a denial that the whole problem has been their incompetence They lost the initial documents and are still trying to twist the truth Shame on them Heartless and deceitful Do not trust Dignity

Absolute disgrace of a company shame on you You want my dad shipped from one place to another because let s face it you messed up taking over from prosperous life and my parents will only get partial payment if we don t do as you say All I can say is people save your money don t let these scamming companies take it when things out of your control go wrong Ie handed over to another company

Uncaring disgusting behaviour

My policy was taken over by Dignity UK in June 2023 and today they have written to me to inform me they have cancelled my policy as I am out of reach of a local Dignity funeral home There has been no discission with me I live on an Island which they knew when they took over the policy but it has taken them 19 months to to tell me this We have an excellent Funeral Director on Island who is very experienced at liaising with Funeral Directors all over the UK as the Island has a large proportion of incomers But this company do not care about discussing with you first they just cancel Disgusting behaviour

Awful service DO NOT USE

Awful service DO NOT USE my dad bought a plan which Dignity rescued and bought them out what they have offered in return is a cold cheap funeral not even using our local crem After paying nearly 1 900 they have offered me 187 in return they should not be in the funeral business as there is nothing dignified about how they operate

Non existent customer service

My cousin passed away recently and I found she had prepaid for her funeral with Dignity I phoned the number on the plan documents and afer10 minutes of listening to Pachelbel s Canon I gave up I found a Dignity funeral home myself A V Band in Worcester who were very helpful but received no help whatsoever from Dignity HQ Don t pre pay with Dignity

I am extremely dissatisfied with

I am extremely dissatisfied with presentation of our beloved deceased The general lack of our desires to have been met Appalled at the service we received and were told that the funeral planner sally had been instructed by her client that we could not have any of our wishes met And couldn t even have alone time visiting our deceased without her being present in the room and not leaving us unattended This is a very emotional time for us and we were unable to have not even a single lock of his hair and still in his gown from the hospital This is not the character he was and we are just destroyed at the poor lack of allowing the family that love him to give him his last dying wishes Even previously to visiting the chapel when calling to have information We were told that we couldn t have any information And not even able to give us information on the funeral service

Useless funeral plan

Terrible My mother paid for a funeral plan which included a service 10 years later when she died the family chose an Unattended cremation with the intention of having a celebratory service later The cost of the unattended cremation was even less than the amount she paid 10 years earlier and was over 2 000 cheaper than if we had gone ahead with the standard cremation including a service Dignity refused to refund anything so their funeral plans are not worth having

Don t die at anywhere else then the address on the plan

Absolute joke took out a plan just two weeks ago for our dying sister paid the full amount in one go just for peace of mind My sister died Tuesday because she never died at the address on the plan they don t want to honour that now So please be aware your thinking your making things easier for left loved ones if they get the attitude I have had trying to sort this out best of luck to you
