I didn t have a good experience with

I didn t have a good experience with Direct Digital I m an independent contractor Massage Therapist and was offered a repeating ten second ad on an interactive seven foot touchscreen that was to be set up in the lobby of a hotel property near my home The guy who signed me up Mark is not someone I d want to deal with again My first impression of him was that of a stereotypical used car salesman Fast talker He verbally promised me a couple of important deviations from their standard contact but I had to fight to get them in writing To his credit he did provide written confirmation on both but only after several phone calls and emails on my part As for their marketing service I signed up for It was ineffective at best I received no calls for work from the property I was advertising at through them Mark had told me that the front desk would promote me and my massage services exclusively after signing up They did not Also when I was sent the proof for the artwork for my ad I requested a few simple changes and then never heard back from them For me this was a complete waste of almost 1600 Another scary thing was that the first couple of times they charged or tried to charge my credit card for their services it triggered fraud alerts with my bank and the charges were under different company names than direct digital I let the first charge go through but blocked the second one as it was for more money than I was expecting to pay They also offered no itemized invoice for the services to be billed on the second billing just a phone call and email the day before the charge was to take place but again for an amount 200 more than I was expecting After discussing the matter with my bank several times they suggested I refuse the charge and cancel my credit card so that Direct Digital would no longer have my banking information I also requested to be let out of the contract in writing Eventually I began dealing with Stephen who was in their payments department and found him to be more straightforward and easier to deal with He requested to see the written confirmations of the deviations I had received in my first meeting and once that was done we agreed on a final payment for me and released me from our contract in prompt fashion Overall I wish I had trusted my initial gut feeling about Direct Digital and walked away without signing anything but at the time I was hoping I could make it work in spite of my negative first encounter meeting I was wrong and it cost me I would have been much better off working harder to market myself Lesson learned

Read both sides of the contract for a few days before signing

I had an advert running with Digital Direct for two years in a GP surgery I am a therapist on a low income The salesman was extremely good because he had me imagine how many clients would beat a path to my door and managed to persuade me into giving my payment details there and then and sign a contract It was only when I got home and read the small print on the contract that I realised what an atrocious contract it is Still I didn t think I could get out of it which I may have been able to do under the cooling down period I have learned a lot in these past two years and am not now so naive I did not receive one client from the advert although the artwork was OK that the company created What I can say to anyone is if you do wish to sign up to this scheme which may work for some people is to ask if you can take the contract away to read the small print - ask a solicitor to read it if possible Do not give any payment details until you have read the contract over at least twice away from the salesman Sleep on it for as many nights as you can even if the salesman says he is not coming back to the area for weeks and there aren t many spaces left Make copies of the contract before it is taken away from you Also ask the company if you can speak to other genuine advertisers in the same line of business as you who have had some success with the advert Once you have signed the contract because of the wording it is very difficult to get out of so be 100 sure before signing

Waste of time and money

There was absolutely no feedback from customers after we placed our Ad in a local Estate Agents shop window using the digital screens from Direct Digital We were promised exclusivity we sell bathrooms and Direct Digital also approached our closest competitor who also sell bathrooms to advertise on the same screen Unbelievable We negotiated a one year contract Thank God and the response from Direct Digital regarding the exclusivity issue was we have taken your comments on board for future reference I do not believe that these type of advertising boards can ever truly be effective and I realise that it was our decision to sign up with them but we were promised leads from the Estate Agent by the Direct Digital rep and we had nothing

Friendly and Helpful Staff However

Friendly and helpful staff However they sometimes take several weeks to respond or misplace emails so you have to keep on top of them and diarize follow-ups into your calendar to make sure that they have not lost misplaced moved-down-in-the-que your matter I have been a customer for over a year now I do not find their product to be very valuable I am unable to attribute any new client to their advertising efforts despite the high cost of their services despite bringing this issue to their attention there was no movement on the price only offering more of their product when it came time to renew--which they contacted about after the date to cancel which was six months before the termination of the contract They would need to bring their price down to 1 100 of a cent or more on the dollar to be price competitive with other advertising in my opinion

Read their contract

After leaving a review previously they contacted us to offer firstly extra advertising space miles away from our business then discount on a pathetic design fee which we had no use for After much going back and forth they eventually offered a refund on the premise that I edit the review We have since received the refund For that reason I will increase the rating to 2 stars even though they have contacted Trustpilot to say my experince is not genuine The original review follows below It is a SCAM Do not let them in our case Michael through the door of your business They will lure you in with a very lucrative advertising screen at a busy A E or Hospital main entrance with high footfall and like in our case the night before it goes live they will say that due to unforeseen circumstance they couldn t display it there and relocate the advert at a random site miles away from our target area If you do read their contract it does say they can do this for any reason I am positive if you ask for a specific site and ask them to remove that clause they would not sign you up They rely on the majority not reading the contract It will be a waste of your money A legal scam Nothing we can do but hopefully someone else will read this and escape

It was so difficult working with Izaani

It was so difficult working with Izaani Siddiqui It took over 5 months to complete 3 slides He took liberties I did not ask for Had constant mispellings on my ad I hope that I do not have to work with him again

Not as expected

When I got contacted to offer their service it was all good I received a detailed explanation and presentation When I finally decided to move on with one of the offered advertising packages and process my initial 100 payment it all changed I had to request several times for about 3 weeks to receive my designed ad proof for approval When I finally received the proof it was all incorrect so I requested changes and it has been 10 days and I still haven t received the revised ad for approval Hopefully its all worth once we are able to go live with my ad

Good customer service bad graphic design

The staff was prompt in email responses but the quality of the advertisement was poor The initial video that was sent was very poorly designed It was way too busy in design and wording on the video I was very disappointed in the quality and ended up making my own video for our business

Lacking Quality

Lacking quality in the advertisement in general the communication is unsatisfactory It was a hard sell for a service that is not being delivered to an appropriate standard for the cost of the product service We have been in production for over 4 months and still have not gotten the ad to the standard we believe it should be We are settling on what has been presented last since the changes that have been made based on our recommendations and requests have been subpar at best

My ad has been running a few months now

My ad has been running a few months now and I ve had no leads Whatsoever Although the ad does look good if I m honest My dog walking business wasn t doing so great at the time but has picked up a little The guy who came round was very convincing and said what you pay for the ad you ll get back in clients They say there s no guarantees when it comes to advertising but I m very disappointed I ve had no leads
