I strongly advise against purchasing from this company due to their lack of professionalism and poor customer service Here are the facts based on my personal experience which I can substantiate If this is your first e-bike purchase this review is especially pertinent Even if it isn t the following points remain crucial Fact Electric bikes require significantly more maintenance compared to standard bicycles A worthwhile investment in an e-bike balances the quality of the bike with the quality of the services provided Customer Service Issues Post-purchase the customer service is abysmal Expect lengthy delays in responses to your emails and calls if they reply at all From January to the end of October 2024 my bike was in the service shop for almost three months and is still there There is a severe lack of coordination between Elsykkelbutikken and their affiliated service shop in Bergen This mismanagement forces customers to navigate between two entities complicating the resolution process My Experience It took nearly a month to replace a pedal under warranty and lubricate inside the handlebar which was surprisingly not covered despite the bike being only a year old and having significant rust inside Resolving an issue with the bike s speed took over two months The service shop repeatedly received the wrong part and even after the correct part was installed the problem persisted Throughout this ordeal communication from Elsykkelbutikken was nearly non-existent with no replies to my emails or calls Next Steps In the coming days if I do not receive a formal response to my proposal to return the bike for a complete refund I will file a formal complaint against the company If the company is interested in my proposal I will remove this post Conclusion I strongly recommend purchasing from a physical store with a well-established service relationship or ensuring the online retailer has a robust and reliable service infrastructure The positive reviews are likely from customers in locations where Elsykkelbutikken has their own shops and service centers such as Oslo In summary be cautious and consider other options to avoid the frustration and inconvenience I experienced

I have a rare Ebike for Norway that had a kaput displaydisabling the engine I tried many other places to find the part needed and was met with unenthusiastic and unhelpful information Elsykkelbutikken was a different story they took the time to search for the item even though I did not buy the bike from them They found the part and I m up and running again It s clear to me that Elsykkelbutikken places high value on after sales support as such when its time to buy a new bike it will be from them
