Beware Returns are expensive

Bought a lamp from this seller The picture was showing it as a dark colour When I received it was not the same Enquired about returning and was told my responsibility to pay postage back to them Cost to send back was 15 Not worth returning Just be careful and make sure you are fully satisfied with what you are buying

Two pin plug on desk lamp

l ordered a Nordlux lamp Item sent out was clearly a previously returned item repackaged But has a 2 pin plug not for use in the UK No adapter included I emailed and they replied quickly citing this as a manufacturers fault and offered to send me out a free adapter I cannot be bothered with the hassle of returning so have accepted that But very disappointing for an expensive desk lamp

Light still not arrived 12 days after

Update light arrived 13 days after order First Choice Lighting did get in touch with DPD but only once I contacted them to say the light had not arrived I know it s Xmas and all couriers and companies are stretched but it remained my job to move this forward Great light Good price Previous review Light still not arrived 12 days after order Company asking DPD to check warehouse but really I d like them to send me a replacement and deal with their couriers separately - their contractor issues have nothing to do with me

Good lights no bulbs

The lights were very good and as expected but the bulbs that we ordered and paid for to go with the lights never came

items didnt arrive for 3 weeks and took a lot of chasing to track down

items didnt arrive after 2 weeks when i emailed i received no reply after 3 more days i rang and the items were advised as having been sent to the wrong address I felt this became my problem to sort even though it was their error I finally got replacements after 3 weeks but it took several calls and emails on my part to initiate that outcome Better customer reply time needed especially when 300plus items involved

Good Product Poor communication

Product was absolutely fine and came as expected But we decided not to keep the product in the end and opted for another option Sent an email within 14 days of receiving delivery to return item as per instruction but no answer reply at all Its been a week and counting Update 11 03 I have forwarded request to sales firstchoicelighting co uk FAO Simon Awaiting response

Prolonged Delivery Time

The big let-down was the 3 weeks it took to deliver my order which I had to chase up more than once The excuse given was that the courier had lost the parcel interestingly this same excuse appears to have been given to others judging by other Trustpilot reviews On the up-side - the lights I purchased are excellent and the price I paid was competitive The agent who dealt with my query was very polite and helpful - it s just a shame about the prolonged delivery But for the failed delivery I would have posted 5 stars on Trustpilot

Disappointed

Bought a black monkey lamp disappointed to see that there were a few gold patches showing through the black paint which were really noticeable Being housebound it was too much hassle for me returning the lamp so I used a black marker to cover up the gold colour patches Delivery was excellent I ordered on the 28th it arrived on the 30th and it was well packaged

Nice looking light but temperamental

I liked that the delivery was quick and the price good too I don t like the fact that the light I bought a Lutec Stanos two led light is temperamental Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn t I didn t buy the remote as all I needed was a landing light that I could switch on and off at the top or bottom of the stairs using the wall switches

Could be better

Disappointing really Ordered two lamps that arrived fairly promptly however one was damaged Very helpful team initially and agreed to send the part that had fallen off However it took over 3 weeks and a chase email to arrive and when it did it was also damaged A return and refund was eventually offered but it was one of two lamps and it s more hassle to do this The lamp is lovely and I have ended up keeping the damaged one My faith was lost in the company when the replacement part they sent was also damaged which is a shame
