This is THE worst mortgage company

This is THE worst mortgage company They bought my mortgage from Amerisave and have financially harassed me ever since I was asked to provide insurance which I did via USPS fax and email but the harassment has continued through this date I have spent hours on hold have sent emails faxes etc but they are STILL putting an escrow for insurance charges on my monthly bill and no notifications about how they intend to refund these bogus payments NEVER get a mortgage via these guys-Totally inenpt and bogus No bad things to say about the reps to whom I spoke but the company as a whole is a feces show

Have had a mortgage in underwriting with them since July 12 No communication Both buyer and seller have credit scores near 800 Slow incompetent and no communication They prey on veterans and active duty and do nothing for them Might close end of Sep

I called Freedom Mortgage to ask about

I called Freedom Mortgage to ask about skipping a payment because I missed work because of Covid The told me about their Forbearance and I could add the payments to end of my loan for 6 months Well at the end of the Forbearance I called to do what I needed to do to add the payments to the end of my loan and they told me We are sorry you can t do that because you have a VA loan Should have told me that upfront They put me in an almost impossible position Stress and Depression followed They tried to take my interest rate next They gave no clear instructions on what I could do Never understood the loan modification Horrible situation they put me in I wish that they would sell my mortgage to another company

The only thing consistent with Freedom

The only thing consistent with Freedom mortgage is they will screw up your escrow every single year Recently they forgot to pay our home insurance for 18 months Then lost the money so they wanted us to pay a 3rd party insurance company for back coverage that was nearly 2 years ago They wanted to charge us over 9 000 to catch up for that coverage We then had to renew our insurance who significantly increased our premiums because we were no longer reliable to pay Freedom did this about 3 years in a row now It took months and months of fighting to get things correct We were consistently told it was our responsibility to ensure everything was paid correctly even if they own our escrow account We have never received that money back it just floated around somewhere lost in their accounts If I wasn t locked into a sub 2 rate I d pay the fees to refinance they are horrid I definitely would never recommend them It would be different if it was one time but it has been every single year they screw it up

Garbage company

Garbage company Nobody knows their job you can call one day and the next day be told something completely different One day my wife called and was getting told something completely different than we were told before so I called while she was on the phone and the next person was telling me something different than the person she was on the phone with I have never in my life seen a company with such completely STUPID employees and no accountability whatsoever Freedom Mortgage does not care about you or your family Do not use this company Go elsewhere

The entire company is a joke

The entire company is a joke No one can do their job correctly They mis-entered our insurance raising the amount 5x the actually amount made our county tax amount 6x what the actual amount and are holding our money hostage even though we have proof that the amounts paid are less Rather than looking at data from the company the mortgage was bought from they created their own amounts out of thin air The employees working there are incompetent We are being forced to pay a mortgage that is 200 more a month than necessary due to lazy escrow employees At least this lack of work ethic is causing us to desire to pay off our mortgage even faster so they can t have this control Unfortunately we do not get to choose who holds our mortgage

Very un-organized

Very un-organizedDon t post payment on time and makes problems with credit ratings and late charges They send letters from FM all over the country said that call help you with late payments that they created They website is slow and always needs codes sent Do not recommend them for home loads

Trash company who will try and steal from you

We have had our mortgage through this company for over 5 years Recently our property taxable value raised Freedom did not tell us and then attempted to pocket two months of our payments because they were slightly short In addition to trying to steal our payment funds they assigned numerous fees Bad company Avoid at all costs
