Dreadful company we have a claim that has been going on for eighteen months They try to weasel out of paying anything coming up with excuse after excuse They do not keep you updated Avoid at all costs

Absolutely a shocking company
Absolutely a shocking company Avoid at all costs- If your insurance broker has these as there representative then please please don t take the insurance as it not worth the paper it s printed on and they will find ANYTHING not to help you with ANY genuine claim My roof fell in due to storm damage and a engineer came out to check and take photos didn t even go on the roof to say it wasn t storm damage within dates they he thought it happened joke could of been months ago and got worse To be told should of check my gutters so many times a year which they was with roofers receipts still didn t help me Avoid at all cost guys These con merchants just take your money and do not help I even shopped around asking for favours to get the cost down so it wasn t a big claim it was 5800 for a new roof wood joints and rubber in the end I got it to 2650 from a chap I knew who really helped me and they still didn t help Not even half the bill Just make sure people these don t take your money

Incompetent ineffective and unsympathetic response
Ms Hong Sutton visited my home on the 24 11 2023 after storm Ciaran on the 02 11 2023 Initially I was impressed with her knowledge and appraisal but now 7 weeks later after constantly asking for updates an emergency interim payment and ANY info at all I am still yet to hear anything I call her constantly and she has only ever called me twice I have only received one email in 7 weeks I was told on the 8 1 2023 that an interim payment would take 2-3 weeks - that would be THREE MONTHS since losing my roof We are an ongoing business and cannot re-open until we receive some money to cover the 20k we spent on replacing the roof Her reports to the insurers were full of mistakes which delayed the claim being approved I tried calling on the 5 12 to see if an asbestos report had been receieved and the man I was referred to Ms Sutton was unavailable was extremely rude saying if the report had been carried out by another surveyor it was of no interest to them I had to call The Davies Group to find the results of the report Obviously no one could enter the building until we knew This took 6 weeks I am beyond frustrated at how incompetent this company is

Avoid
If your insurance company tries to use GHG for your claim I strongly recommend you request a different loss adjuster Unless you like sleepless nights and dozens of pointless phone calls

Appalling company
After a burst pipe 3 months ago we have received zero from them We were told that the longer the house was left wet the more damage there would be and as we were getting no help we suggested we pay up front to get it dried out with a view to claiming it back This took 3 weeks to get sorted and 3 months later we are still waiting for our money We were lucky that we had the money as if we had left it to them the house would be wrecked Invoices we sent in months ago haven t been dealt with It s either incompetence or deliberate delaying tactics Obviously I m writing to the ombudsman I note from other bad reviews that the response is to contact customer services That s also a joke Perfectly pleasant people but ineffective The company is rotten to the core Avoid

Beyond inefficient
Have had this company appointed as assessors for an insurance claim They are beyond inefficient take no notice of anything they are told and ignore messages and phone calls If your insurance company appoint the ask for another firm I have

Dishonest
GHG say how sorry they are and to get in touch with customer services where they will look into the complaint I am phoning weekly and they say the same thing but do absolutely nothing Totally incompetent chaotic at best Don t use them It s dishonest to say they will get money to you by a certain time or to say they can sort it quickly and then not to do what they say

No communication leave you in limbo
In complete limbo having been flooded during Storm Babet last October GHG appointed by Hastings my insurers The initial clean up was done outsourced to FSH I think yet the list of items removed destroyed covered only half of what was actually removed by them I last heard from GHG on 1st February and am in complete limbo as to what is happening work promised not forthcoming and no answers despite my emailing them I did have a phone call from somebody saying they were checking everything was satisfactory to which I said erm still waiting And there we are 6 weeks on erm I am still waiting Absolutely hopeless and no consideration for what we are going through EDIT you ask me to email you - I ve done so on numerous occasions and you IGNORE me and from other reviews here this is standard practice Check your inboxes and check your employees Jon Cawkwell are responding rather than ignoring

Very disappointing
Very disappointing Poor communication and coordination Really slow progress with unnecessary delays We have been out of our house at least twice as long as was necessary if only there had been the will and motivation to get everything in track Woefully poor communication at first No real attempt to right wrongs even though there have been multiple admissions of poor service

Me and my family are in emergency
Me and my family are in emergency accommodation Me my wife and two very young children I didn t understand mental health until been involved with ghg They are the loss adjusters my insurance company homeprotect use Unbelievably appalling From forgetting to extend our emergency accommodation to zero communication Hold ups due to negligence Further damage to our property Lies Deception Excuses We just want to go back home The fire damage to our home was one thing But the damage to our family as a result of GHG Solutions incompetence has really taken it out on us PLEASE STAY AWAY I really can not believe this company is allowed to operate
