This has been an awful experience

This has been an awful experience My daughter started with a tutor in early September This person decided after a mere 4 weeks that they were too busy at uni to continue We were then passed to a new tutor though with no handover The second tutor managed one lesson but has now missed the last two due to illness So my daughter has missed as many lessons as she has had I will now seek to unwind this arrangement - wish me luck

Really disappointed in this company

Really disappointed in this company My son had maths tutoring to get through his GCSE and after a few different tutors my son was matched with a really great teacher After exams had finished we cancelled as we no longer need a tutor GCSEs are over The company is still taking monthly payments from my account without authorisation I have emailed several time to cancel had a confirmation to say they had received it But guess what they are still taking payments I am so angry at this point would definitely not recommend using them there customer service is shocking

We signed up two months ago

We signed up two months ago for one month of lessons for English Physics and Chemistry English was fine and the tutor was fantastic But two months later we are still waiting for the Physics and Chemistry tutor Two contact people from Go Student have been assigned and then stopped responding They then took another months booking without authorisation Trying to get hold of someone who can actually help is impossible

Please be careful gostudent is a major fraud Regardless of repeated attempts to terminate our subscription we are not able to terminate Think carefully before you subscribe for the service

Avoid if you do not want to be signed to a lengthy contract

As others have said customer service do not get back to you about cancellations When I joined I had specifically asked if I could cancel at any point and I was told that I could by calling and giving notice I never received the terms or contract outlining any agreement despite asking Unfortunately it didn t work with the English tutor and I decided to cancel but now they have said I am tied and won t answer or call me back to address my concerns You will only get a standard response unfortunately Please avoid if you do not want to be signed to lengthy contract or be lied to They will say anything to get you to join and then not honour it

Complete rip off Paid for nothing

I paid for 6 sessions and only ever received 2 Tutors kept cancelling and changing the lessons I contacted Go Student and asked for a refund and they promised to called back but never did I have emailed countless times and no response They said they would contact me following this review but more lies Just trying to protect their image No contact at all still

Refund please So Frustrated I ve requested to cancel my account and refund since last month I contacted customers service many times by WhatsApp They said that they will cancel my account and refund I am still waiting someone to contact me about this but unfortunately nobody Today I noticed that they took this month payment again I am so frustrated please please someone can cancel my account and refund

Big hurry to get us signed up unfulfilled assurances

From first contact the pressure was on to sign up and pay one month s fees in advance After this was done the very poor customer service communication was evident Quite obviously my youngsters email etc was NOT passed on and information meant for her was emailed to me instead This state of affairs continued despite several telephone calls requesting information about using What s App to communicate -this was not forthcoming Gave up pursuing so called customer service team as called were never returned My Youngster had ONE hurried there seems to be a problem with the system half session and that was it go student has neither apologised or offered any reimbursement of any part of the fees I paid in advance Disgraceful

Avoid it At All CostsDO NOT join their membership Payment system is very bad and completely inflexible Example your payment date is on 10th each month If you still have credits in a certain month after the day of payment you will lose it I know it is possible to pre-book lessons to avoid losing credits But this means that you must keep an eye on your account Who will have so much time and energy to do that all the time On the contrary if you have run out of credit before the next payment date but you are due to have another regular lesson you cannot take the lesson This interrupts the study schedule I know it is possible to purchase a credit for that However again it means you must keep an eye on the account all the time Worse still you will need to pay more expensive fees as they do not allow you to buy a credit with the agreed cheaper fees in the membership agreement Just imagine when you want a break e g during Christmas you will be in trouble unless you do not mind losing your credits money This rubbish payment system is a good way for GoStudent to earn extra money for doing nothing I also understand they have some ways for people to try to avoid these problems However it is again extremely inflexible and is limited You might be able to avoid the problem once The next time you will be in trouble and lose money credit It is just too much trouble to always keep an eye on your account anyway There are many good tutors from other tuition platforms No reason to use GoStudent and give yourself headaches all the time just to sort out the credits
