Sorry this will be long but I need to explain what happened to me I had two transplants at The HairPalace one in 2015 and one more recently completed just a week ago The service and the accommodation here is very good and the clinic is pristine The way I have been attended both times is really to the highest standards However I would of liked to say the same about the outcome of my first transplant which was very poor At the time I opted for the highest package 6000 hairs and based on what I selected the surgeon at the time advised to focus on the frontal and the vertex area as the middle part still had some of my hair She said that I would of had a very good density especially in the front and if I ever needed a second implant she would of just focused on the middle section and the back Unfortunately nearly two years after and the outcome of the front 4500 hairs and the Vertex 1600 was very poor So poor that I ended up shaving most of the times The problems started immediately from week one after me postings my post care pictures the surgeon without asking why or what decided to void my guarantee because I had missing grafts At the time no reason was given to me You can imagine how disappointed I must of been especially knowing that I did indeed follow everything to the letter It was only after me taking several photos side by side and using adobe to pin point the area I managed to prove that some of the hairs were never implanted The owner offered to replace 1500 hairs and here I am again in HairPalace for my second and last procedure and while I was at it I decided to make the most of this trip and opt for another 2000 hairs meaning in total both implants would of given me 9500 hairs Day one of my second surgery and the new surgeon focused on my vertex again and immediately after the surgery because I could compare surgeons I soon realised why my first procedure was a complete failure The cause was that my first surgery was very bloody and I was sent out without being cleaned properly which resulted in me having lots of blood lots of crusts on my head which didn t break down and caused my hair to die I felt so sad about this that I expressed this to the new surgeon I said that some of us only get one or two chances at this because of the donor area and they should focus on fixing my hair rather than replacing a miserable 1500 hairs I said to her you are just re doing the front and back again which was done by your colleague back in 2015 The response was pretty disappointing to be honest we ended up debating before and after photos The last thing I proposed to the HairPalace was to at least try and fix my problem but there was no collaboration whatsoever so I ended up with offering HairPalace to put up my 9500 implant on there before and after photos and challenge how many people will want to come here to take a implant and her response was Nick unfortunately not every surgeon is the same admitting there mistake and not acknowledging that I will be scarred for life now I am sorry for the long feedback but I really needed to get this off my chest especially considering they keep on wanting to discount 500 from my next implant if I leave them feedback I understand that everyone is different and that they have lots of great reviews but my overall outcome is a disaster and not because of my faults but because of an incompetent first surgeon I want to finish by saying that if I could rewind back time I would rather take out 20K loan and get it done properly

I had 6000 hair FUE which sounds a lot transplant last year which I gave a 5 star rating at the time largely out of relief that the procedure was not as traumatic as id expected and I had nothing to measure against 13 months on I can safely say it was a waste of time and money I ve since went to a clinic in Turkey to help complete the procedure and so far I have had much more satisfactory experience tho still not achieved the results initially suggested by Hair palace Let me start by saying I m over 50 started to go bald in my 30s and was am still quite bald probably Norwood 6 at the start of this journey with Black grey hair Despite my reservations of having enough donor hair my consultation in Manchester suggested 6000 hairs would be suitable for me being the biggest package they provide NO ONE TOLD ME 6000 hairs which is 2000 FOLLICLES is barely enough to cover a CD sized patch until I reached the Budapest clinic which at nearly 3 5 grand is comparable with UK prices if you negotiate I should have turned back then but Id made the journey and decided to continue Realistically I know now that I needed 6000 follicles to cover my head which would be closer to 10KThe experience in Budapest was not all together bad but I have rated it 1 not solely for the experience but also the results By comparison to Turkey it was not as well organised is more expensive the procedure took longer for less follicles and I did not receive the best of support during my stay as I was given a map and left to find my own way to and from the clinic in Budapest Most importantly the results are not the best I had low expectations anyway but the placement of the hair has resulted in a spikey mass at the back of my head which I must keep short in order to control Unlike Turkey I cannot confirm that it was a qualified surgeon that carried out the procedure My Turkish surgeon suggested that the placement was not the best that the angle of the choi pen implanter resulted in spikey hair and quantity of the hairs was unlikely to be 2000 follicles Unfortunately there was little he could do to improve it because I had so little donor hair left and he had to take extra follicles from my beard line Even this has not covered the whole of my head so I may go back for a final session that will probably require more beard or chest hair to complete Finally though Hair Palace offer to replace any lost hairs through the process you need to have enough donor area left to do so and they didn t do that well at the first attempt Just remember to do your research and that this is not a painless procedure Despite the blurb there is a chance it wont provide the results you expect and it does leave scars in the donor area so I m forever stuck with a grade 2-3 trimmer in addition I ve had 12 months of in-growing hairs and infections so don t expect and easy ride of it Truthfully I wish I d never started this journey and I d be 10 grand better off

I had a hair transplant with Hair Palace in July 2017 and am writing now as it s now 18 months since my procedure and the end results are unfortunately terrible The good points - Great service and communication for the most part with HP staff who were friendly and helpful- Offices and procedure rooms were clean and welcoming as were the staff- The procedure itself was quite painless- Accommodation arranged by HP was also pretty decent as were the transfers- Food and entertainment were provided and were greatThe bad points - The hair transplant itself hasn t worked for me as in - the implanted hair grafts haven t grown out of the total implanted 10-15 of the hairs only have grown out - as confirmed by HP technicians This is the fundamental reason for this poor review - as for me unfortunately it did not work- I had an initial consultation in Birmingham UK - where I was told the hair transplant would cover my front crown just above my forehead as well as my bald patch top rear of my head On the day of the procedure when going to sign my paperwork I was told they would only be able to do the front crown and not my bald patch You can imagine my dismay at this but I had already flown all this way and was literally about to go in for the procedure when this was sprung on me- The aftercare wasn t too great as in it consisted of me sending photos every few weeks There were no follow up checks or treatments to ensure the healing process was on track even though the clinic staff are in UK cities regularly for sign-ups - I developed white spots on my scalp which seemed to be some type of infection but wasn t diagnosed by the clinic as such The treatment they suggested TCP did not work- The private apartment provided was pretty modern but not so clean After the first night staying there I had recurrent itching after sleeping in the bed am not sure how often the sheets were changed replacedI was unsure of results and questioned this from 6 months onwards constantly being told it can take 16-18 months to see the full results but it has unfortunately not yielded much in this case I have requested a refund as the procedure comes with a guarantee but was told they can only do another procedure in lieu of this As I would have to pay for flights accommodation and basic procedure again and as their procedure was unsatisfactory the first time it did not make sense to proceed once more You may probably ask why this negative review against so many positive Well HP offer a free neck pillow and towel after the first day s procedure for a positive review on Trustpilot that night itself These are useful supports for the first few nights as it s suggested you sleep sitting up Obviously many people have gone for this but I thought I d wait for my full results before writing anything - positive or negative I must stay the staff were always lovely friendly and polite in their dealings with me but unfortunately this did not work for me

Unprofessional and disrespectful towards customers from the start In my opinion this organisation is simply exploiting a high value industry and packing in customers I would simply not trust them to carry out surgery on me

AVOID AT ALL COSTS After the transplant i was constantly assured hair would grow After 11 months NOTHING I was constantly fobbed off by the coordinator that it would take Eventually i demanded to speak directly with the Doctor I was then informed that the GUARANTEE was void I had to obtain legal advice and eventually due to being abroad solicitor costs would be high so i instead accepted part refund - just 20 UNLESS YOU ARE A HUNGARIAN RESIDENT ITS VERY DIFFICULT AND EXPENSIVE DEALING WITH LEGALITIES - GUARANTEES

Very unprofessional After they asked me to confirm my initial appointment twice I took time off work and was made to wait 20 min No explanation or apology was given the receptionist called them twice and told them I was in a rush and eventually I had to leave without having the consultation No communication from them afterwards to apologise

A very big disappointment Be careful when you read the 5-star review Almost all of them are immediately after the surgery and NOT after the results are visible The warranty is a joke They claim that they guarantee 80 of the implanted hairs or otherwise a free intervention When I have raised this with them they simply quote me another 1 990 GBP for 4 000 hairs or 2790 GBP for 6 000 hairs Cheaper than first time when I paid 4 000 GBP for the initial intervention When I raised my complaint the said that all is fine After I have insisted they have admitted that things are not ok and they gave me the new quote Needless to say the owner is not available to comment Prices are based on the country you are coming from This is what they claim that a 4 000 hairs transplant looks like linkAnd this is reality linkThe doctor that did my surgery looked like it just graduated highschool- Erika Gucsi I decided to not let this affect my decision and went ahead Big mistake The real loss is not the money but the healthy hairs which were taken from the back of my head Even if they offered me a free intervention I would not do it Arguments that they are in the EU are baseless since I can t do anything right now My advice is to go to Turkey pay more and increase your chances of a successful intervention

I had a really bad experience a few years ago The surgeons were young females seemingly inexperienced and they done a poor transplant implanting the hairs in the wrong direction and the transplant was a very poor quality one They didn t implant the hairs in the right places and I lost many of the grafts They didn t offer me any fix under their guarantee which is very limited and they were extremely unhelpful I would strongly advise you to use somewhere better than this shady outfit

My names Greg I got back from Budapest two weeks ago with treatment from hair palace I arrived on the 11 June collected from airport the apartment really nice 12 june blood test date was picked up taken to hair palace I signed forms then was told I was being taken to private clinic for blood test Was slightly worried as I thought everything was being done by hair palace I arrived at clinic and noticed what appeared to be a nurse taking blood with no gloves on She finished with a lady then called me behind a curtain She strapped my arm I expected her then to cleans hands I looked away for a second and a needle was in my arm with out her sanatising her hands between taking blood from two patients Shocked I was then taken back to my appartment by driver I straight away walked down to office block where hair palace do hair transplants it s not a hospital they phoned clinc and then they fobbed me off with They wear liquid gloves I asked to see where transplants take place because of my worry about sanitation at private clinic It was all clean and I decided I would carry on as I d planned 13 of June first day hair transplant I arrived at clinic was welcomed by an interpreter and a new member of staff on training program Expected a doctor or surgeon I signed forms and they took payment they gave me some tablets to take and into transplant room My surgeon draw a line with a eye liner pen without taking measurement Since I ve watched other transplants they take measurements To be honest was happy with new line there just wasn t the accuracy I expected I m first day as stated pain free with exception of injections that were sharp Was happy felt comfortable Was happy staff was friendly and nice That night experienced a few chest pains Was on my own and hair palaces offices closed I kept calm and fell back to sleep I couldn t phone an ambulance any way I don t speak Hungarian or know number to call I woke for second day of surgery Alive There was a bit of pain from donor area I took my tablets to be honest they dazed me and I forgot to mention to surgeon when I arrived at clinc Lidocaine courses confusion My second days surgery went the same about 7 hrs had some swelling Nothing major Had surgery and was glad to think was flying home next day Hair palace give you dates to arrive and depart The next day swelling was slightly worse nothing at this point I didn t expect I flew home I m swelling had worsened 10 fold on plane and by the time I got home looked like a Klingon off Star Trek I sent hair palace some pictures they advices me it was all normal 2 3 day it will be gone I was told My swelling continued to worsen over next week I sent pictures but got so concerned as it hadn t subsided in 2 3 days as they said I went my GP Several time I d contact hair palace with pictures and they said I was normal I seen my gp he said I d had allergic reaction to maybe lidocaine After my appointment at gp looked on net at fue swelling I found I wasn t normal I was one in fifty with my reaction and that flying the day after surgery wasn t advisable as it increases swelling None of which wasMentioned to me by hair palace as stated they tell you dates to fly Granted I was one in fifty but they didn t seem to have answers for me at anytime Although swelling now two weeks after surgery has now 97 gone they left me in anguish worrying with no answers with my face unrecognisable The whole experience from bloods to swelling with no real answers let me really stressed I think if you don t have blood test there and you don t have a bad reaction to lidocaine Everything would run great but if you have a problem your on your own different story I am happy with my results but what an experience My advice don t go on your own take partner or friend Get your bloods done before you go and if you ve never had a local as lidocaine as I hadn t get tested before you leave uk
