Good until communication stopped

On-line order for an item System accepted order and payment Chased order and informed due to Xmas sales order quantity there was a backlog Chased a few days later and informed that item couldn t be found and manufacturer had cease providing the item so was refunded Checked with manufacturer and although some of the range was no longer produced the item I d ordered was still in production Asked HiFix to order for me The until now response to contact then ceased I haven t had any other response from HiFix Up until the communication stopped I d have given 4 stars despite product not being available because the communication had been good

Missing order

I ordered Bose noise cancelling earphones for a Christmas present on November 24th I contacted the company last week by phone they didn t offer an apology but simply stated that they would check up on the order and would email me later which they did and informed me that the earphones would be dispatched the following day as though the order had just been received I feel that they should have organised an express delivery as the order was now over three weeks late It s now 21st of December and I still haven t received my order I m not hopeful that it will arrive on Time for Christmas

Very sorry to say a Poor service

I hate to leave a negative review but you emailed and asked I leave a review so here goes I ordered a stylus showing in stock on your website I followed up the order with a phone call to be told you were actually out of stock I emailed 2 days later to cancel the order as I d found it in stock elsewhere at which point you said the stylus had just been packaged for dispatch and I d have it next day 5 days later I chased up the order to be told sorry you don t actually have any in stock So I was basically lied to 5 days earlier I know these are challenging times guys but come on you can do better than this

More care needed

Bought the multi region Oppo 103 bdp however it would not play Zone uk blue-rays let alone multi-region This is supposedly a premium product made in China so the modded player should have been thoroughly checked by the Dealer prior to dispatch shame sent back for a refund

Items Removed

Ordered a Pair of Denon C821 Earbuds When they arrived some item s where missing reported this HiFix and was told they would get on to Denon to see what has happened Nearly 2 weeks now still heard nothing back On closer inspection of packageing you can see where something was used to open the box and remove the missing item s from it and also when the box was put back together the plastic hanger was not showing through the top of the box as it should have been it was inside the Box also showing the Box had been opened somewhere between Denon s Warehouse and Delivery to Me

They indicated on their website that the product could be purchased and delivered the next day so I bought it then i was informed it would take a few days as they had to order it in then I was told the item was discontinued and they couldn t source it but the newest version was available for an extra 1000 turns out I could get one in any of four other hifi outlets that I tried so purchased one from elsewhere then it took a few days and numerous emails to get my card refunded not a great experience and won t be using them again

Bought some B W 606 speakers

Bought some B W 606 speakers they loaned me a pair to try at home I loved them so on return bought a pair great service 5 stars awarded Went on line Wednesday to see if they could price up a Marantz PM 8006 together with a tuner a Yamaha TD500 I did receive a reply asking me to clarify the Marantz prefix which I did as of today no reply called into the shop this morning staff were not prepared to show me the amplifier because it was boxed although I was prepared to purchase it I m not happy they weren t bothered on loosing the sale

Good service except for overseas delivery which became a nightmare

The purchase Marantz separates itself went well but unfortunately the delivery to my Spanish address didn t The estimated 2-3 days became more than a fortnight Parcelforce the company they chose did their best to avoid helping and only for me chasing chasing chasing endlessly the missing items I don t know how long it would have taken Sadly I won t be able to buy from Hifix again unless they use a much better courier service Life s too short

Below Par service compared to other retailers

Ordered a very expensive cartridge but wasn t given the option to specify an alternative delivery address Contacted Frank Harvey who told me there was nothing they could do Considering virtually every other online retailer offers this service I think this is extremely poor and will consider sending the item back and cancelling the purchase

Weird defect in product

Bought AE extreme 5 outdoor speakers once installed I noticed that one of the speakers is installed in the casing upside down if you turn the case to correct the front orientation then the connect is upside down and will collect water Not sure how to get this sorted Hifix purchase and delivery was a good experience
