New printer Lots of problems Dreadful customer service Talk over the top of you and quite patronising in their tone if you aren t tech savy Spent hours speaking to operators More customer service training needed My printer stopped printing twice Was told that because I had unsubscribed from instant ink my printer wouldn t work They can stop it from printing remotely if you don t subscribe You have to buy their cartridges from the hp store Wish I d never bought it

Absolute con
Absolute con Because I m on benefits I could only afford the cheaper packages but that means you can only print 10 or 50 pages depending on which package so you very rarely print anything and you pay HP each month to not print anything I tried to cancel the contract a few times once they simply didn t or wouldn t cancel it saying I hadn t completed the process and other times the words they use are very clever and you end up cancelling your cancellation request So over a period of about two years I paid them close to 100 for pretty much nothing And then even though I had legally paid for the cartridges to the tune of 100 they deactivate the cartridges Absolute con I would give it if it was an option

First of all in order to use this service and get the full use of your printer you have to paySecond of all It only works intermittently If at all I think h p smart print is a rip off

HP Smart is an Absolute rip off
HP Smart is an Absolute rip off They lure you in with a 6 months free subscription which sounds generous and tempting but is actually a full phat lie The deal only operates when the printer is connected to your wi-fi network However the printer appears to be constantly offline You can never connect permanently Only fleetingly Meanwhile they keep taking your money HP are a beast of a company They should be prosecuted for malpractice How about a Class Action anyone

So much easier to connect a new printer
So much easier to connect a new printer with a cable Setting up an account was complicated because years ago I had an HP account but had forgotten it so trying to set up a new one kept failing No back button on some set up screens As with most things wireless these days it takes so much longer to set up anything if you make one small mistake and cannot go back and correct it Yes I am quite comfortable with the digital age and IT but badly thought out set ups are a source of irritation and a waste of a person s time I still haven t connected my new printer as I have given up for the moment there are more important things in life than this

Utterly rubbish
Utterly rubbish - the printer only works when it feels like it not intuitive you can t just print directly you have to save everything as a PDF Furthermore you have to pay monthly and your printer will be deactivated if you don t You get limited carry over of pages despite the fact you have paid in full for these Do yourself a huge favour and do not get involved in the con that is the HP Smart - rent a printer

Do not use this app
Do not use this app I installed it on my phone and laptop My wife just clicked add printer on her phone Using the smart app stopped my laptop printing in colour and made the printer cut out half way when using my phone My wife s phone without the smartapp worked fine The app with worse the useless it is malware It is part of the race to the bottom with companies only concentrating on making software look shiny and hiding setting It took me half an hour to remove all of the smart app and the drivers it has installed Then I downloaded the driver from hp com directly labelled IT professionals only and it works perfectly

This app is useless Absolutely never works Needs a complete re-write and serious beta testing Totally frustrating I can spend 30 minutes trying to print one page of a pdf Completely unreliable Even worse with trying to print from a phone

My card expired on the HP Smart app
My card expired on the HP Smart app which I thought means the auto shipping of the ink would stop until I got it updated ok no problem I ll update it and move on with life I was wrong Even though I have purchased my printer AND the current ink cartridges IN the printer HP turned my printer off and will not allow me to print anything I use this printer for business so it was a little bit of a hiccup on the day it happened but I just hopped on the app to update my card info no big deal Every time I clicked on the option to update or change my card info it told me Because you have been inactive for 15 minutes your session has timed out please try again later This was not true as I was actively working on updating my card information This happened multiple times and over the span of a week Every day I tried to get into the app to update with no luck and the same session timed out pop up I also tried using a desktop and going through the website where I was met with a completely blank screen when I went to login multiple times Again this happened every day for a week trying to login both on my phone through the app and through the browser portal through multiple desktops and laptops Now as I try to get ahold of customer service they are not very helpful and not understanding my issue I have been waiting for them to call me back for an hour If I could give zero stars I would Normally I understand business comes with hiccups and no business is immune to this but to have multiple online portals be down for so long AND zero customer service I will be getting rid of my HP printer and finding something else
