I just completed the frica weekend sail adventure and it was fantastic Greg was a brilliant and confident instructor making everyone feel relaxed I would highly recommend taking any courses with him Great job Greg well done

I thoroughly enjoyed my week of competent crew training with Ian as my instructor As the only woman on the course I was made to feel welcomed comfortable and included The quality and standard of the instruction and the boats are high I would strongly recommend this sailing school

Fun and Interesting Competent Crew Course

Throughout my 5 days with Jolly Parrot on the competent crew course I had a fantastic time Ian was my instructor for the course and I d recommend asking for him He was friendly knowledgeable and made the challenging parts understandable Despite the poor weather conditions in Feb 22 we managed to get quite a good bit of sailing in and even managed to head across to Ceuta from Gibraltar Though there was a lot to learn and understand it was overall a really enjoyable experience

14 week fast track

Last 12 days out in Gibraltar with jolly parrot sailing Amazing instructors on my ym prep weeks with Ian and Allistar Then my 2 day ym offshore exam with Geoff really helped to make the exam as relaxed as possible but still pushed to make sure we was upto the task Has been an amazing adventure with jolly parrot doing my yacht master fast track have helped me so much along the way Thank you to Clive Jenny and Rachel all pulling the strings behind the scenes and then my host of instructors along the way They have set me up for this new future and owe them so much

Fantastic week of sailing with Greg

Fantastic week of sailing a great and very jolly skipper in Greg After an extended gap from sailing I took a competent crew refresher with Jolly Parrot This comp crew refresher was unparalleled to my previous experience in how much more I learnt and the quality of the tuition Consistent clear calm and very good coaching really helped me progress It was a very enjoyable week and I was really pushed to practise skill sets beyond the comp crew level I would highly recommend the school and in particular Greg

Amazing fun and comprehensive Day Skipper course

Overall I ve had a fantastic time completing my day skipper course with Jolly Parrot If you are doing the course I would recommend asking for Ian as he s a knowledgable instructor and will take you to the best restaurants in the evening too The course is rigorous but are able to learn in a fun and enjoyable environments Top tip bring some earplugs

Sea Sun Dolphins

We spent 10 days with Jolly Parrot doing our Competent Crew and Day Skipper The entire experience was incredible - Jolly Parrot were so accommodating the booking process was smooth and we felt so at home on the water To top off the whole thing we had two incredible instructors - Tom White Trevor Walkingshaw They were inspiring engaging and made everything fun We learnt so much and have come away with much knowledge confidence new friends A huge thank you to Rachel Clive Tom Trevor - we absolutely loved every moment of it and will definitely be signing up for a mile builder in the near future - Lauren Chris x

Jolly Parrot Sailing Competent Crew Course

My 2 daughters aged 14 and 11 and I spent a wonderful 5 days on the water to achieve our Competent Crew accreditation under the confident capable care of Tom White Instructive inspiring and really really good fun Great facilities lovely food and the company of wild dolphins - what more could anyone ask for We loved it Thank you Tom and all the JP team

I ve just completed a week of Skills and Drills as I work towards YM Offshore Our boat was a thoughtful mix of 2 Comp Crew a Coastal Skipper practical and me so every one had extensive time to learn and practice the skills we all needed Mark Burkes was our skipper - a man with 250k miles under his belt including several Clippers He was generous with his experience sharing it to the benefit of all and most importantly going above and beyond to answer all the myriad of questions we had that naturally come with aspiring crew A GREAT week with many new skills and old improved

Great experience with Ian

Just finished a week with Jolly Parrot doing my day skipper practical Couldn t have had a better time Our instructor Ian was great Couldn t be more accomodating and was always there to help he prepares a mean Baguette if you ask nicely Couldn t recommend more I m semi tempted to call in sick and stay for the mile builder next week
