Amazing service stress free

I ve used Kent Removals twice now Both time fantastic service First time was moving from Melbourne to Brisbane Pretty stressful moving interstate as I ve never done it before Kent staff came to my house inventoried everything and gave fixed price My goods were packed up with care and moved up to Brisbane to be stored with Kent for 3 months until I needed it Redelivery process was even easier arranged a day for delivery and they unpacked everything exactly where I wanted it The second time I used Kent was moving houses in Brisbane This time I used their hourly rate Craig and Yasi should be commended as it was a very hot day Glad I wasn t moving my stuff Even on the hourly rate they didn t waste time Again this move was stress free Thanks Kent

From first contact to final delivery their service was amazing Nothing was too much trouble The guys who collected our stuff and the guys who delivered it were beyond professional but still super friendly We had lots of question in between the big move and they were always answered promptly When our plans changed Kent Staff were always able to change plans with us Nothing was ever too hard or not able to be done We were blown away with the price too Very competitive

From the quoting stage to final delivery Kent were fantastic Very competitive pricing furniture was well protected during pick up and storage both sets of removalists at each end were timely helpful and careful with all our furniture we will definitely use Kent again

Excellent all round service The initial visit to assess our moving needs was most impressive A room by room item by item assessment of everything to be moved was done carefully and methodically The resulting inventory was accurate and reliable The moving crews arrived on time and completed the loading and unloading easily and quickly to schedule They were always well organised and with a sense of fun And office back up was always good with timely reminders and processing

The people at Kent removals were fantastic It included an initial consultation where an agent came out to assess the size of the job gave great infomration about cost and process and booked it in then and there Highly competitive price The day of the move the movers were punctual efficient and highly professional It all went smoothly Would highly recommend and if we ever move again we would use them again

30k to move within Sydney

Kent moved me to Australia 7 years ago from San Francisco and I had a great experience This time I requested a move from my home in Sydney to Kent s storage in the same city I have a three bed flat and two of the bedrooms are small There was no one available to turn up in person for a quote so I spent quite a while on a zoom call with one of their agents After all of this I was quoted 30 000 aud Really 30k to move an apartment one way in one city I am sad to say I won t consider this company again Really disappointing and it felt very opportunistic because I told them I needed to move urgently

Less stress to do it yourself

To begin with the service from the team at kent were fantastic then I paid the invoice and from then on the service completely disappeared If I wanted to know anything about the move I had to ring head office several times to get the information this included trying to find out where the packing materials and boxes were so we could actually pack our belongings of which only the boxes arrived and we ended up paying for the bubble wrap and tape ourselves They never even confirmed when the truck and removalists would arrive without us chasing for several days prior Since the move we have sent feedback to kent and their customer service team have called several times to ask for more information but the only offer made to make things right was 50 to cover the packaging materials we had to payout for given the packaging materials came to more than 3 times this we declined This is the first time I ve used a company to help me move I would normally do it myself but I thought paying someone else would be less stressful I was wrong and it has put me off ever using a service like this again

I can t tell you how much I regret using this Company if I could give zero stars I would My brother died suddenly in Tasmania and as he had no family there I had to arrange for all his belongings to be shipped to his family in the UK I was assured by the assertions on Kent s website that they would do the job well plus they were AFRA accredited which gave us reassurance that it would be done professionally and to a high standard This couldn t have been further from the truth Precious antiques that my brother had spent his life collecting were treated with utter disrespect Items weren t sufficiently packaged a lot of fragile items weren t marked fragile and the few boxes that were marked fragile were stacked with really heavy items on top This resulted in the most precious items arriving in the UK smashed beyond repair In addition to this despite the high quote which was for the whole house to be emptied the removalists refused to take a huge amount of items as said they hadn t been in the original quote I then had the long drawn-out process of trying to claim for the broken items this process once again was treated with contempt Over the course of the next few months several Insurance agents left the Company and I was passed around from one agent to another with none of them taking my claim or complaint seriously Despite paying nearly 5 000 for the insurance I was eventually offered less than half the value of the broken items the Insurance agents tried to find cheap alternatives to unique priceless antiques In the end I took my case to AFRA for their mediation service but sadly AFRA didn t seem to take the complaint seriously either and took Kent s side that they had taken the items they had quoted for and as such had fulfilled their side of the agreement In the end Kent didn t even receive so much as a slap on the wrist from AFRA for their unprofessionalism and incompetence Don t feel that as Kent are AFRA affiliated they will adhere to any industry standard of service They won t I have found them to be dishonest unprofessional careless and unapologetic In the end we accepted a pitiful sum of compensation and insurance as we felt we couldn t afford to take this case to litigation This whole process has been deeply upsetting and traumatic for my family in the UK as if losing my brother wasn t enough to have the people we hired to take care of his precious belongings treat the job with such contempt has been heart-breaking
