I used to use Patreon but switched to Ko-Fi once they started offering monthly memberships My experience with them has been nothing short of fantastic The platform is easy to use and there are a number of fantastic features with still more to come Occasionally there have been bugs but the Ko-Fi team are quick to respond to these on their Discord channel Pro tip if you re a creator on Ko-Fi join the Discord Not only is it really useful but there are LOADS of awesome people on there My favourite thing about Ko-Fi is the community atmosphere This goes for my interactions with other creators as well as supporters There are still features such as polls that I would like to see added but I understand the team are working hard behind the scenes to implement them Personally I much prefer using Ko-Fi compared to Patreon

I ve been able to elevate my podcast in ways I never knew I could before Ko-fi makes it easy to accept donations memberships and commissions to help me continue to grow Plus I ve built an amazing community Easily integrates with PayPal to help me manage my funds

I ve been using ko-fi since it s founding and switched to selling there after Etsy took a big chunk of a purchase someone made from my shop Ko-fi is soooo much easier to use and I can control how often I receive emails and what notifications I ll receive I have it set up so the onky emails I receive are sales and donations made new follower and new messages I ve had a lot of good luck with my ko-fi shop Some buyers were nervous because it isn t Etsy but they got over it The commission page is outstanding It s simple to use and set up and recently they made it possible to message from thr commission page Very simple we stuff all around and I love it Especially the lack of fees

Paying attention

The support team got back to me within few hours of submitting my inquiry and wasted no time solving my problem it was solved in a couple of days which is very quick in my experience it feels good knowing you re not screaming into the void when contacting the help team on social media for once

many features included

It s an easy-to-use website for small creators with many features Who needs a complicated website where you pay far more when you can get Ko-fi And you can even set it up so that you pay only if you make money

One year on Ko-Fi it has lived up to expectations

I ve just passed the one year mark of using Ko-Fi - it s been so much better than the previous platform I was using to run my membership I love having the options of donations shop commissions too It was so easy to get set up with and I ve not had any issues at all in the past 12 months It s also great that payment is direct and all transactions have worked fine - my shop customers have all been happy with it being easy to place orders Also the community support to troubleshoot when you re not sure how to do something is great They are constantly making improvements and it s so easy to provide feedback Without a doubt moving to Ko-Fi has been the best decision
