VIP service for an inexpensive purchase

Please note this review is about an October 2024 purchase - for some reason TrustPilot kept showing the May date and wouldn t let me adjust it Bought a Ricoh Rikenon 1 7P lens online from here As some may know this lens has a potential problem if used on certain Pentax bodies the Dreaded Ricoh Pin which can mean the lens becomes locked to the camera body We discussed this at length and after I found online instructions on removing the pin bought the lens It wasn t a very expensive lens but the time and effort Alfred and Elliott spend checking it and replying to my queries made it feel as if it was and I was getting VIP service

Great experience

I had a great experience with them because I got the camera the next day very well packaged When I got a Canon 100-400 from the shop I got a Hoya UV filter nearly for free so can t complain

Tried out in high street ordered from them online

I had been tempted by a Canon 7D mark II for some time favoring a crop sensor camera rather than buying a larger lens or teleconverter Seeing one at the Gloucester branch convinced me this was the way to go Unfortunately that one sold before I could get my hands on it but it wasn t long before another one came up - so I ended up buying online from another branch This was a good experience combining high street presence with online capability The camera was in my hands a few days later I ordered during the weekend and I am very happy with my purchase

Exceptionally great experience

Another excellent experience from London Camera Exchange I traded in my camera for a newer one and I found the experience to be flawless The price that I was offered for my old one was brilliant What I like most about LCE is that the service is more personal than most of the other big retailers for camera equipment I have found many other camera retailers don t address me by name in emails despite the fact that they know it It s a small thing but it makes a big difference to the overall experience I really feel that LCE is exemplary I can most certainly highly recommend them
