The Survey was satisfactory but it took to long to come back

Building survey

I gave a lower score than I did in the past for a building survey carried out by LHS as I felt the report was somewhat low on detail

Customer experience post quotation stage was not satisfactory Pictures in report did not match the property etc this amongst few other points was raised as a query to main surveyor and other staff outcome no response payment received customer not satisfied

I did not receive a call from the surveyor with a summary of his findings despite requesting this two times Some parts of the report referred to a different property

Not what I expected for the cost

Not what I expected for the cost incurred This proved to be a very expensive lesson The visit was just a walk through lasting 5 minutes thus could not provide anything other than likely scenarios This was not what I needed to go back to my insurers with I had discussed my requirements verbally over the phone In hindsight I would suggest putting in writing exactly what you require to ensure that you get what you require I had assumed that the inspection would be more involved

Reasonably comprehensive but let down by poor communication

A reasonably comprehensive structural survey report and in good time However Leo failed to return my calls to discuss matters after I left 3 messages with his colleagues and sent 2 emails asking him to call me Perhaps he does not like communicating with his clients by telephone Also I asked for the rebuild value for insurance purposes and was told that it was not included in the report I would have expected this as standard and even if not it would not have been too difficult to include this

Survey done quick quickly but notice no house valuation on report I called Leo horsfield and asked the questions just to be told I would have to pay 290 for them to add this to the report sorry that is a bad service as I have had lots of surveys and the house valuation has automatically been on most reports- so be aware of this when deciding but other than that no complaints

Property Valuation

I thought the valuation of the property was a little lower than I d hoped at but at least it is higher than the valuation by the council I m still waiting to hear about negotiating with the council on my behalf over the difference Thanks

We have used Leo Horsfield Surveyors a couple of times before and had fantastic service from start to finish This time however were disappointed with the communications Used the online chat to get a quote but was told I would need a call back by a team member So agreed but the call didn t come So called the number direct but took a couple of tries for a call back Even tried emailing but still took a few times before any communication When we did get an appointment for the survey it was carried out quickly and detailed Worked out in the end and pleased with the feedback

Customer service wasn t great but they got the job done

Poor comms throughout extremely rude service from one of the people on the phone had to chase a lot got the job done in the end Saving grace was that the price was good
