I signed up with this company in January 2024 They took 59 99 in a direct debit more than half of what they said they would take On the very same day they cancelled my contract They are not answering calls they just go to voice mail I have left numerous messages and sent emails none if which has been responded to I agree with the previous review If this is not a scam give me my money back

Avoid at all costs
Avoid at all costs my elderly father was contacted by them un- solicited by phone my father made it clear on the call that he would not sign up to anything yet a contract was still sent in the post I contacted the company directly and spoke to the director who claimed to have many years experience in the business however his details on companies house ie year of birth made it clear that he was exaggerating this claim

Bullies
My partner an elderly lady was contacted by Lime and told that she had no alternative but to accept the Lime landline instead of the current EE landlineShe has been with EE for some years not wishing to change phone providers I contacted Lime I spoke to Richard expressing my concerns about the way my partner had been treated I informed him that she wished to cancel the order for a router with Lime and continue using EE Richard made two telephone appointments to call me neither of which he kept My partner is now in limbo being unsure whether the line with Lime is cancelled or not EE inform me that Lime still have a block on the line stopping them from continuing to be her supplier The whole thing reeks of sharp and unscrupulous practice I would suggest that if an elderly relative is approached by this company any dealings should be terminated immediately After Richard failed to keep two telephone appointments he telephoned me out of the blue said that he intended to give my partner an ex gratia payment of 100 Richard made this statement in his usual sarcastic way Needless to say she has not received any payment I told Richard that every word in my review was totally true and I stand by every word to which he agreed and feigned apology Trustpilot want me to amend my review doubtless being bullied and cajoled by Lime I refused to change a word Unfortunately trustpilot after being approached by Lime have forced me to change some of my wording in this totally honest review To cap their cheek I received a phone call informing me that Lime are referring my post to the police Unbelievable Finally please note if an elderly relative receives a COLD call from Lime saying that they are taking over their land line or broadband or both Cancel it immediately Lime informed me that they were having this review removed so far obviously without success

Scam Cold Callers
Be aware of cold calls from this company They claim to have contract with Openreach and that our landline service is going to be terminated soon This is all scare tactics to pry on the vulnerable and false information Your current ISP internet service provider will not terminate your landline without prior notice and should instruct you about Digital Voice when you start or renew a contract with them Openreach do not have an exclusive contract with them Lime Utility use Openreach network the same way any other ISP broadband provider do Openreach or normal ISPs will never cold call to scam people into contracts Never give any personal details or information to scam companies such as Lime Utility

Rang my elderly parents reporting to be
Rang my elderly parents reporting to be from openreach and that they would lose their landline if they did not switch to the digital service which would require a router to be delivered My Mum was worried she had divulged too much information over the phone so we reported to Action Fraud their bank and BT their current provider They then called again a few days later looking for further info for the direct debit my parents told them to put it in writing When the letter arrived it was from lime utility looks like a very unprofessional outfit I called to ensure all was cancelled and amazingly got Paris who has been positively reviewed here Assured all was cancelled - this was definitely an attempt to get you to change providers without your full knowledge Obtained a crime ref number in case the information they obtained is sold on or used inappropriately

Bad Experience
Phoned my elderly parents and told them that open reach were taking over BT lines and if he didn t sign up for a new contract that their phone line would be disconnected My father agreed out of confusion but felt that something was off after he received a letter asking for direct debit details which came in an envelope with a second class physical stamp not franked and looked pretty unprofessional He called his current provider sky who had no idea who this company were and confirmed that he was still in a contract with sky for the next few months and that if he were to switch he would be charged a substantial exit fee Sky will also offer him a digital line upon renewal there is no requirement for him to switch to anybody else My father asked my husband to call Lime which he did and there was so much background noise with people laughing and shouting that we could barely hear the lady there We asked that they cancel whatever my father had agreed to as their original call left him thinking that he didn t have a choice and must agree to this service otherwise he wouldn t have a landline They agreed to cancel the account and asked no data protection questions before doing so I would not recommend this company
