Lothian Domestics were very efficient and have sensible pricing policy where initial call out charge included return visit to do the repair The engineer was pleasant and explained everything

Samsung fridge freezer

Reported our issue on Wednesday and got a booking for the Friday They kept good communication regarding the engineer and timings of visit Unfortunately the issue with our fridge is intermittent the engineer used diagnostic machine which did not find the fault the engineer stayed a further 15 mins to see if the problem would materialise but it didn t 30 mins after he left the problem a banging and rattling from the fridge appeared This is obviously an issue with the Samsung fridge Overall I can t fault Lothian domestic but disappointed the fault could not be rectified

From booking an appointment to the engineer arriving I was kept informed all the way Easy to book using the online form labour price stated up front or diagnosis if couldn t be fixed Texts keeping me informed when engineer would arrive on the day Ross arrived exactly when I was told and was polite and courteous throughout his visit Luckily he quickly knew what was wrong with our fridge freezer and had the part available to fit there and then Checked that everything was working before leaving Would definitely recommend Lothian Domestics Ltd

Lothian Domestic Ltd replied very quickly to my email about my fan oven not heating up Organised a visit and Paul arrived within that timeframe Checked over the cooker and replaced the element very quickly and efficiently Paul was very polite and left no mess I would recommend Lothian Domestics Ltd and will call them out again Also the price including the new element was very reasonable and I m happy that I got my oven repaired instead of replacing it which isn t good for the planet

Brilliant service Washing machine stopped working 9am Appointment confirmed less than 2 hours later Engineer arrived at 12 45 Fixed and away by 13 30 Also a very fair cost model for call out and repair Nothing hidden or that you re not made fully aware of and can make your choice No hesitation in using again if needs be Many thanks

Competent and good communicators

Our Samsung fridge freezer died on a Sunday Was able to book online a repair for Wednesday Ross attended promptly and diagnosed the problem quickly There was a problem with the required part not being available from Samsung and some incorrect advice from Samsung but William the manager of Lothian domestics kept us up to date with helpful emails often over weekends When the part was available Ross came back and fitted it quickly Would highly recommend Lothian Domestics

Local Appliance Technician Saves the Day

When our washer dryer failed to spin I feared the worst for our 8 year old Smeg - or at least some trouble finding an approved technician After booking online Ross from Lothian Domestics arrived at short notice and replaced the motor brushes with spares stocked in his van 30mins later all working again He was very polite and highly competent Excellent
