I called to see if there was anything I could be doing differently I m in pretty good financial shape already but was looking for some tips on what I might do to make it even better The Agent was informative and I decided not to go with the plan that was recommended After that I would periodically receive a phone call from the MMI phone and when I answered the call would disconnect Several times I requested a copy of the budget that was worked up while on the phone with the Agent but it was never sent to me and I couldn t figure out how to view it in my account The initial consultation was good but the follow up left a bit to be desired

I would like to have had all payments
I would like to have had all payments resolved upfront instead of having the creditors deny the offer after making my first payment Now my monthly payments are more than what I budgeted for in the beginning

Good except for the set up
Hi thereMMI is great except for the set up My credit cards were paid late and I incurred credit card fees because they weren t paid on time for the first month In addition my credit cards were shut down and it hurt my credit This was NOT communicated to me that they would be shut down Luckily 2 out of the 4 credit cards declined the MMI agreement and I was able to keep them open and now I make payments on my own to these credit cards Again none of these steps were communicated to me when everything was set up I would be giving it 5 stars if there was better communication about the steps and procedures Rachel

patience and professionalism
the customer service representative was very informative and helped me to make the decision to go ahead and set my account up to make my credit score have a bigger chance of having a higher score thanks for the assistance i hope she continues using her skills

Not always on the same page
Hi Although everyone was nice whenever I contacted your company I didn t feel like everyone was on the same page There have been a few occasions that when I asked someone a question and then was verifying it during another phone call there were different answers The website was overall good except I could never pull up my ordinal agreement It kept denying yet request Finally I spoke to a counselor in the very beginning but then never again He was always unavailable It would have been nice to have a check-In occasionally or even a follow-up once I paid everything off

Just be realistic
I completed my DMP a little more than 2 years ago and have been very careful not to put myself in the same place that got me there It took me just shy of 4 years to pay off everything In hindsight it was very helpful to put structure around the 22k or so of credit card debt I d accumulated in my 20s But you should not expect this service to do more than that for you At the end of the day you re still responsible for ensuring your bills get paid so you still have to manage your accounts And they re actually upfront about that If you re diligent about paying faithfully and expect to have steady increasing income for the foreseeable future then this can be a better alternative than bankruptcy The length of time you will be on the DMP is likely shorter than the amount of time a bankruptcy will show on your credit report If you re not confident in your ability to manage this process on your own and you re in a spot where your credit will tank either way then this can help you break the cycle I d recommend using it as long as you go in eyes wide open

So far everything seems to be moving forward in a good way
It took me a while to get the items needed together so the team at MMI could organize the Ness I made now everything is in their hands a from where I m sitting it looks great to getting my credit or paid and this mess cleaned up I know I can not do it alone thank you MMI

Take the good with the bad
Mostly this is a good company that helps people Some of the employees are not competent at their job They should be very good at dealing with the credit card companies but alas that s not true It took a while to get some of the credit card companies to accept me into the program

Helped clear my debt but reduced staff
The beginning experience was great but the company downsized and had I not joined when I did I would have missed the personal interaction that pointed me in the direction of success At first I had a wonderful contact but later on I no longer had a specific contact person The location center in my area closed I doubt I would have traveled an hour to start the process Regardless they were totally legit and I m now debt free from credit cards

Good except for closing
I had no problems with MMI during most of the time with them until the end I paid off the account that they were helping me with and MMI made a payment that same month before I informed them of the payoff That wasn t the problem I didn t inform them soon enough But now it s been 3 months and they still haven t repaid me the last payment they took out of my bank account which their representative said they would do
