Delivery failure
I waited nearly a fortnight for my order to be delivered When the delivery company arrived they were expecting to collect a chair instead of delivering one I therefore cancelled my order and contacted another company and ordered an equivalent chair which was delivered within 24 hours To their credit Morris Living did immediately refund my payment in full

This IS a PAINTED LEATHER CHAIR
This chair is coated with a VERY THIN paint like finish They said because some people have certain types of oils in their skin it will make this VERY THIN coating peel THIS IS NOT COVERED ON THE WARRANTY SO BEFORE YOU BUY ONE OF THESE GET YOURSELF TESTED How you do this I have no idea also before you let anyone sit on it have them tested also I bought mine 6 months ago and it s flaking off everywhere and looks a mess This is the Montreal dual motor recliner sold by MORRIS LIVING and made in CHINA cost over 900

Good or Bad
At the end of June 2023 I chose an R R chair from Morris Living on line as I was about to pay the salesman asked do you wish to erect it yourself or have our men do that as I am 89 years old I told him that I could not lift at my age oki he said that will be an extra 30 I was staggered it is mostly the elderly and disabled who buy those R R chairs the people who are most unlikely to be able to erect those heavy chaurs It was a RIp-OFF I was disgusted but needed that chair for my wife who was disabled so I paid When the chair arrived two men carried in in and erected it within THREE MINUTES Those two men were very helpful and carried my wifes broken R R Chair into another room for me When I went threw the document pack left with me I was surprised and pleased to find that Morris Living had included a five-year repair Insurance for the chair FREE I would rather have paid for the Insurance than the set-up fee

Quality of bonded leather
Had the manday chair 2 years now covered the base in self adhesive vinyl to cover the flakey covering Arms starting to wear now so I have given up and will take to the tip I ve had recliner swivel chairs for 40 years now and should last for at least 5 years Paying 350 for this chair was the worst mistake I made All morris offered was 10 of a new chair

They withdrew their goodwill
We saw a picture of the chair we wanted on their website It was light cream coloured leather with darkish brown wooden stand We ordered it and it arrived unannounced in a very large carton What would have happened had we not been at home remains a mystery The wooden stand was a light pine colour so I got in touch with Morris Living and they undertook to send new ones and a technician to change it over This all occurred a week later at which stage we saw the chair unwrapped for the first time Instead of being a light cream colour as per the picture on the website it was a darkish khaki I emailed the customer service manager to say the chair was unacceptable He organized a courier DX to pick up the boxes and advised that he would deduct 50 for the courier charge and 60 for the technician from the refund Apparently the technician was sent as Goodwill which obviously no longer applies

Absolutely shocking
Not impressed at all with the warranty work They claim that they don t do it like they should Would never buy anything from this firm again I would recommend that others be very careful when buying from this company Called the engineer out on 2 different occasions as there are springs sticking out the back of the chair and the rising foot rest was damaged They said they couldn t feel or see a fault on the first occasion but on the second someone else said they could feel it and they took it further up The company then emailed and stated that this was a comfort issue and that it isn t covered with them or the manufacturer After spending 700 on a chair I now need to buy a cushion to make it useable
