To Bhutan and NE India with Naturetrek

We went with Naturetrek to Bhutan Assam and the Sunderbans and had a fantastic time The main and local guides were all extremely attentive friendly and very knowledgeable Loads of excellent birds around 300 spp and mammals 28 spp including incredible views of Bengal Tiger swimming twice across a wide channel Throw in numerous Laughing Thrushes Ibisbills Scarlet Minivets Gibbons Rhinos Gaur and Water Buffalo and you ve got a wonderful trip The group 11 got on really well - the accommodation was good and food far better than anticipated - wonderful Bhutanese Indian food on offer It s not a cheap trip due to the Bhutan tourist tax but most definitely worth it

Ecuador Andes and Amazon

Just back from a Naturetrek trip to Ecuador the trip was excellent A superb local guide and great accommodation in a country with fascinating wildlife The tour covered various habitats meaning lots of different birds We were also treated to mammal sightings including spectacled bear and a close encounter with a Three Toed Sloth from a tree canopy Naturetrek also organised for us to have 3 days pre tour in Quito which was very worthwhile for the history etc Already booked our next trip with them

Ecuador and the Galapagos trip

Just returned from a trip to Ecuador and the galapagos The main part of the holiday was a visit to the galapagos spending 2 weeks and the beluga yacht What an experience The yacht and crew were brilliant especially our guide Juan whose energy and enthusiasm knew no bounds We were able to visit most of the islands allowed and the wildlife was fantastic Before and after visiting the galapagos we went birding at Mindo and looked and found not only condor but spectacle bears in Antisana This was a trip of a lifetime and I will definitely be using Naturetrek again for future holidays

The Gambia

Excellent trip very well lead by our two guides who tirelessly worked to ensure we all saw the sightings Any minor issues with logistic were also dealt with promptly

The holiday was well organised The itinerary was mixed We had a superb guide The Gambian staff were excellent - very helpful The hotel was good the food was excellent and our room was comfortable

A Christmas present to each other birdwatching in the Camargue

Wife and I spent Christmas on a birdwatching trip to the Camargue area in the south of France Everything worked as we have come to expect from Naturetrek all the arrangements our excellent friendly and very knowledgeable guides the accommodation and food Whilst we learned a lot and thoroughly enjoyed the birdwatching this was a relaxed and easy-going break not a hard-core must see every bird at all costs type of holiday I m an overweight 70-year old and did not find the walking too strenuous just very enjoyable Thoroughly recommend this company for both day trips and holiday

Brilliant 2 weeks touring the Gal pagos National Park Saw some amazing wildlife stunning scenery and enjoyed the company of our 14 strong group A key factor was also our guide Darwin who had a vast depth of knowledge and enthusiasm about the islands the seas around them and their wildlife Darwin planned our days expertly taking into account the groups interests and ensuring that we rarely met other groups of visitors
