The majority of reviews for NYIP are highly positive, with students praising the comprehensive course content, knowledgeable instructors, and the value for money. Learners frequently report significant improvements in their photography skills and appreciate the flexibility of online, self-paced learning. Conversely, negative feedback consistently focuses on the high cost of the courses and disappointment with outdated materials or inadequate support. Thanks for helping gain knowledge in

Thanks for helping me gain knowledge in some areas that I was weak The only complaint I have is that the one and only time I reached out for some encouragement motivation I was sadly disappointed with the response which was little to none

Good Place to Review things you already know

The course was well designed but a little difficult to maneuver Loved the feedback from the instructors on projects that were submitted I had hoped that there was more interaction with the instructors but that is simply not possible

Before during and after at NYIP

Before I enrolled at NYIP I have already some backgrounds with other genres of photography The one that was most discussed in Professional Photography Course was portraiture wedding and lighting Other genres were discussed in a pretty basic ways such as macro nature and landscape photography For those students who don t have any background I would say it s more challenging As this is a general course the percentage of the discussion should be fairly equal to benefit all students most especially those beginners in photography I finished my course within 5 months I studied did my projects in the morning and concentrate with my job in the afternoon till midnight NYIP online course was perfect for a busy individual like me During breaks at work I was still doing my reading I prefer printing my lessons and puts notes on it Anyhow after graduation that s the real challenge To which genre should I go Well you will find it as you go along with your passion Happy shooting

I m halfway through my second course

I m halfway through my second course with NYIP and found them both to be excellent in terms of content breadth and depth I particularly like the course interface as it s very easy to navigate and go back and review The tests at the end of each section are a great way to make sure the information has sunk in The required projects can be challenging but that is a good thing My ONLY criticism is that they use the American date system which for us Brits is confusing and I almost failed to complete the first course on time as I misread the date and thought I had far more time than I actually had Fortunately they send out reminders and follow up with students Silly mistake on my part but for a course that is international perhaps something as small as the date format should be more explicit Fortunately we were able to speed through the remainder of the course in time

Would be nice to have printed course

Would be nice to have printed course for all courses Some of the pictures don t match up with what is being talked about It would be nice to have an instructor check in once and awhile to see how it s going and find out if there is any questions and to offer up encouragement

I loved the experience I got from the Professional Photography Course

I loved the experience I got from taking this class They made it easy to communicate and really understood when life got in the way I think a live class would be beneficial like maybe one a month offered so we get real time teaching instead of just videos

Photography Course

For the most part the pro photography course was vary good and the instructors helpful however because it was a revamp which evolved from many years there was a lot of content which could have been either deleted or updated I would also have liked to have had more reviewed exercises

The course starts out very basic and

The course starts out very basic and builds on it step by step I am about half way done and I have learned more from this course than all of the other instruction aids I have used previously Even if you think you already know it all it is a very good structure for expanding your skills The course provides a strong foundation and it is not just learning how to shoot but more importantly it explains why things happen the way they do I am very pleased and looking forward to completing this course and going on to others with NYIP

Overall positive experience

So far everything has been great If I call the student center with a question they are always helpful and if they don t have the answer they will find someone who does Course content is well written and covers all aspects needed to give a well rounded understanding and education The only thing I would suggest is to have a little more real life demonstrations via video for those of us who are a little more visual learners The written content is great but seeing something first hand can give just that much more clarity and understanding to something It isn t needed on everything just maybe on the more complex content But overall I am liking my experience and can already see improvement in my skills

NYIP is a great structured way to learn

NYIP is a great course when you start from scratch and you want a structured learning plan It didn t feel that this is all I need to become a great photographer but it sets you up to ask the right questions and for me encouraged me to do some additional research and practicing sessions beyond the course The course comes with a great big and helpful community of current and ex students to help you out and depending on wich mentor checks your work at the end of each chapter you can get some really helpful feedback I am glad I chose this method of Learning
