Changing my review to 5 stars -- Update on my experience

Great software with aweful support There is no live support You need to create a ticket and wait for 2 to 10 days for an answer Usually there will be a few back and forth until the ticket is resolved So sometimes it takes a month for an issue to be resolved Assume you have all you backend and the frontend your website on Odoo Then you cant do business for a few days up to a few weeks unbelievable --------updated experience------I am changing my review to 5 stars The support is still awful but after a lot of waiting and patience all my issues have been resolved I have been able to hire a few freelancers on Fiverr who helped me with some customization I needed at very affordable fees Odoo is a masterpiece in terms of how well it is designed and how flexible it is I have migrated my website from woocommerce to Odoo and it is much faster and now my frontend and backend are integrated I have moved my host to Odoo sh and now Im able to do developments and tests on a staging branch and only push changes to production after testing and ensuring everything is working fine Setting up Odoo the right way may take a few months and you will go through a lot of ups and downs but once it is set up it will do a magic to your business I have checked a lot of erp softwares Zoho Microsoft Dynamics Oracle Netsuite ERPNext Sap etc and none of these solutions come close to Odoo for small medium size companies The other day I had a requirement for a business process that is specific to our business and no available solutions exist I was able to create an App for my business need using Odoo studio in 10 minutes without any coding Then as some of the data of that app needed to be shown on our website I hired a freelancer on Fiverr who charged me 30 and created a snippet that shows the data of the app on the website Such customizations will cost a few thousands dollars on other erp systems This is the magic of Odoo and that s why despite the bad support I will keep using Odoo When you have all data in one system the completive advantage you will get over competitors in your industry is something you can t overlook For a marketing campaign we needed to send an email to all of our customers who bought a specific product in a specific date range from specific states who were satisfied with the product We defined satisfied as a customer who meets a few criteria A customer who hasn t had any issues with the product has lodged no warranty claim tickets no return requests etc We have been able to filter the customer s using these factors on Odoo and send them the email When all your data is not in one place you can t do such things And this is the magic of Odoo Be patient with Odoo get help from Odoo freelancers on Fiverr Upwork etc and you will see it s magic for your business
