Blocks 1 listings because price not right doesn t clarify what price is right Forces you to set another price and explain in the description that the actual price is 1 because that s allegedly clearer and more transparent than setting the price to 1 You can scam everyone but not sell anything for 1 Allows sellers to sell used items as new ignores reports Too many fees can hardly list multiple items without hitting a random paywall Users can rate you negatively for refusing offers without buying anything from you but you cannot reply them review back or review users who sell you broken items You frequently get ridiculous offers almost always below your asking price regardless how low it is I ve had someone offering 0 for something I was selling for 1 Constant Frequent issues loading pages or editing items Ignores desktop flag on mobile constantly forwards you to the mobile version regardless Blocked outside Portugal so you cannot list nor relist anything if you re abroad thanks OLX Marks unresolved issues as resolved on third-party portals websites Allows sellers to sell you broken items doesn t allow you to review them nor help you get a refund despite video evidence

Cl udio Porto Olx seller Do not do business with this individual By SMS on friday 24 05 agreed to sell with CTT shipping payment on delivery I agreed I ordered a generator that works and costs around 350 euros and today 26 05 2024 by SMS he asked to pay him 20 84 via MBWAY for CTT transport I told him i will pay CTT on delivery pay 75 20 84 95 84 as agreed This individual cause dme unnecessary stress and losses OLX should ban him

Minutes after posting two ads i started receiving calls from the offer Mostly mbway and bank transfers scammers Don t know if i added the email nevertheless didn t receive any Beware that scammers are always monitoring new ads to reach new users

Unavailable outside Portugal Starts automatically in the background after phone startup Constantly requests money and tries to upsell you stuff Spams you with multiple unsolicited ads and newsletters Constantly removes listings because they re too cheap Unreliable search Can t report users Broken email links Allows anyone to rate you negatively for refusing offers but blocks you from rating users who scam you Contact form doesn t work Blocks virtually all listings with numbers

There are several things wrong with OLX

There are several things wrong with OLX and maybe thats OLX fault because they dont make sellers give detailed listings Sellers have to know that when you are selling on the internet that the buyer does not have the item in their hands and so they cant see it in real life so it is up to the seller to give as much detail as possible regarding the item For instance how big is the item how tall wide depth Are there any faults with the item cracking missing pieces and broken pieces and do not try to disguise the faults or make light of the faults Everyone hates surprises especially when they arent good ones Is the item working if its not why and especially important are you prepared to ship the item or not and how much will it cost the buyer if they are in mainland Portugal I personally have sold and purchased items online for the last 22 years and if you dont ship then your target market becomes that much smaller that you would be better off advertising it in your local lidl Yesterday I purchased a crystal chandelier it wasnt particularly expensive but it was really dirty and not in good condition which was ok I could clean it up the seller said it needed restoration but the chandelier had obviously been dropped from a great height because 1 out of every 10 crystals was ok the other 9 were broken cracked pieces missing from the crystals basically it was worthless I might be able to cannibalize parts off it but I certainly couldnt restore it
