The platform is okay with some projects offering decent rates but mostly below standard Never had a problem with the site until I had encounter an unpleasant client He gave me a negative feedback which I am not aware of Apparently clients can provide tesmimonials without you knowing and have no way to defend yourself I wrote to Onlinejobs ph to rectify this and provided the screenshots of our conversation I was hopeful until they tooks the client s side The client offered me a job reported the next only to know he hired another person to do what I was offered to do If you don t call that a lack of word of honor and unprofessional I dont know how else you call it

Has good choices and the site seems secure but hard to get jobs Not sure if the employers were able to view my application even Not sure if any has been accepted or rejected Will find another site maybe

Solved Security IssuesBefore finalizing my contract I wanted to make sure that the person that I m communicating with is honest trustworthy and safe to be partnered with That s why I emailed Onlinejobs ph At first I thought I couldn t get a respond from them or even so it might take awhile Surprisingly they respond to my email within the day and solved all my worries Plus the site s interface is great as well It s easy-to-use so anyone - applying for a job or posting one can use them

So far I ve only advertised one job on the platform and arranged to interview a few people I m impressed that the platform is sophisticated enough to have alerted me to the fact that all the people I m looking to potentially hire are probably running an agency They would be subcontracting my work out I found this out thanks to having a Premium account which comes with background data checks So at least I m forewarned However I ve sifted through hundreds of applications and not found applicants without this warning Some applicants are even worse having several identities So the reason I m grading the site with 3 stars is that they re allowing all these people to mascarade as potential full time employees to unsuspecting site users They should instead create an area for agencies and let them openly advertise their services as agencies That combined with reviews would be an excellent way for people to find genuine honest expert VA services in the Philippines I hate dishonesty But I d happily take on one of these worker s if they are honest when I ask them whether they re running an agency What I want to know is how they organise the work and will assure me of the security of my passwords and the like

My experience 2 times out of 3 has been 1 star but that s in large part because I haven t learned the ropes yet so I m not going to ding the platform for what I myself can t do Platform itself is decent and there are a lot of jobseekers to choose from Site is slow search is mediocre and usability is not the best I think what s really lacking are reviews Would be nice of employers can give feedback on their hires to protect others from making mistakes It s clear that their intake process does a good job at getting applicants to provide a lot of information and the applicants do a good enough job themselves to help you narrow your choices They have tests for the job seekers to take but the scores really mean nothing to me Does the writing test ask them to spell cat and if they get it right do they get 5 stars I don t know I would like them to show those tests to the employers so we can grade them ourselves Now here s where things really fell apart for me This is my fault so it may seem out of place leaving it in a review on their site but a review system may have prevented some of this Out of the 3 I hired from this site 1 turned out to be agency owner wanting you to think he was doing the work but was outsourcing it all and then doing a terrible job of managing his freelancers Another Filipino I hired in Upwork had a hidden agency as well Another I hired may turn out to be a gem but it s too soon to say And the 3rd one I hired had very poor internet connection but didn t divulge it until after I hired her and the lack of connection became unbearable When I reported the problems onlinejobs just came back with suggestions on how to hire better They were good suggestions and I appreciated them I was disappointed they didn t want to investigate the one running an agency I think this should be divulged in the platform This site has lots of good information on how to hire and their case studies are really helpful as well Just be careful when you hire here or anyone in the Philippines - especially if you re trying to build a real team like I am Make them pass tests before you hire them Insist they track time and use software that captures their screen Then hire them for a 2 week trial period to assess their skills Make sure they are online when you are so you can interact with them frequently If they are your employee and yours only they won t mind If they re trying to run an agency they ll pretend they are away or give you excuses The time zone difference can make this really challenging so make sure you re clear ahead of time they have to work at least some of the hours you are And make them talk about the tasks You should be looking for signs that they are actually doing the work and that they know what they are doing If they re outsourcing you work that may not even matter to you but I would definitely ask for honesty and transparency on that Finally before you hire them have them run an internet speed test in Zoom and show you the results The hidden agency racket I ve run into twice now makes me leery of the Philippines because it seems to be a growing fad I don t mind a real agency with real employees and real managers who make sure your requests are done on time and meet your quality standards as well as theirs That s not what I ran into though So the fact that onlinejobs ph doesn t appear to make any effort to either keep them out or be transparent about it is my biggest complaint

Found lots of jobs available for me They even offered training to help me get employed

It s a great avenue for Filipinos to find jobs and opportunities It s also a huge help most especially in the pandemic we are in right now But I ve also had a hard time looking for a stable job maybe because employers get plenty of job applications
