Terrible Customer Service and No Accountability Avoid Opodo
I had an extremely frustrating experience with Opodo after my flight originally scheduled for September 2023 was changed by the airline Six months later I m still battling to get a refund Despite my booking and payment being made through Opodo they have been completely unhelpful and have failed to provide any meaningful assistance After months of silence I finally managed to get some clarity only to be told that I had to chase the airline directly for the refund To make matters worse I received contradictory information from their staff one person claimed they had spoken to the airline while another said they hadn t The lack of communication and consistency has been incredibly frustrating Opodo seems happy to take your money but unwilling to take any responsibility when issues arise Their customer service is poor and their constant deflection and lack of transparency make a bad situation even worse I would strongly advise others to steer clear of their services

Booked a flight through Opodo on
Booked a flight through Opodo on British airline from Dublin to Delhi n return While booking it showed baggage allowance for both outbound n return flight but when I got the confirmation email there was no baggage allowance for the return flight Rang n chatted also with Opodo no help I have the screenshot of the site as proof It s very disappointingN felt cheated even the prices shown were in euros but charged in British pounds when paid

It s fine if there are no issues with the airline or the hotels but if the flight is cancelled by the airline they will not refund you straight away claiming it takes 90-180days to get the refund processed I have got proof the airline has refunded them within 7 days of the cancelled flight 2 days in my case 45 days later still nothing Credit card company sided with them as well because they said they have no records of the flight being cancelled Absolute liars Avoid As I said it was fine when air travel was fine years ago but with all the cancelations and delays these days the extra money you pay to book with the airline directly is money well spent

Rip off membership
Be careful - they have a membership scheme subscription scheme that is impossible to cancel and takes money all non refundable and when you protest say it is all in the small print total scam not a company that cares at all about reputation or customers

Terrible Scamy Business
I had an extremely frustrating experience with Opodo While purchasing a flight their website misled me into signing up for a free trial of their Prime membership After 10 days they contacted me claiming I had already used a free trial in the past and would be charged 89 99 I called their customer service four times and each time I was passed around between different teams wasting hours of my time The first three times they blamed a system issue and said they couldn t modify anything On the fourth call after yet another hour wasted they finally informed me that to cancel the subscription I wouldn t get a full refund They claimed the difference in ticket prices would be deducted which is absurd because those prices aren t even real You can find the same flights on Skyscanner at the same rates without paying any membership fees This is a total scam They push their Prime membership under false pretenses and charge an outrageous amount I intend to consult a lawyer or customer rights agency and I encourage others to join forces and take collective action against them P S Their response to my review was just to resend the original email without fixing the issue I opened a dispute with the bank and if they keep my money I will raise a claim for fraud against them Please do the same so the banks are awere about this scam

Opodo prime avoid
I recently booked a flight and on completion of transaction received an e mail informing me i had signed up for opdo prime i had not knowingly done this I had tried to sign up for a basic service I rang them and the call handler treated me as if she was doing me a great favour to cancel subscription but I still paid half the price in the format of a credit voucher i wish I had checked reviews before using this company as I can see they do nnot have good reviews and I definately will not use them again and advise other travellers to avoid them

Opodo Prime subscription is a scam
Opodo Prime subscription is a scam They take money from your accounts without any warning Failed to steal the money from one account bank has warned me about unauthorised transaction tried another account Contacted their customer services straight away promised to refund the subscription and cancel the service Nothing happened Wrote a bad review about the scam they acted immediately and sent a written apology and a written promise to refund my money and cancel the subscription within 72 hours One week later - still nothing Now I consider taking a legal action against them and claim not only the refund but also a compensation

Fraud with Opodo
I booked flights and hotel to Fuengirola Spain for 17 - 28 9 When I was looking for the apartment hotel I was supposed to stay there were no reception nor had I keys or door code I tried to reach them but it was late so no answer I also called the Spanish number which was supposed to be related to the accommodation but no reply Only an answering machine saying that the number is busy try later again I had several attempts without succees I had no other option but to book another place to stay for that night Next day I called Opodo again but I was given another number which was supposed to have my booking From that number they told me that they do not have any bookings for me I was calling back and forth but both parties totally refused to take any responsibility I also called that Spanish number several times but there was only an answering machine on At the end I had to make 2 other bookings for the rest of my stay which has caused me hundreds of euros of extra costs I have been constantly in contact with Opodo I have all in writing but their answer has been that that hotel claims that I have stayed in that place which it a total lie as the hotel does not exist There are only private apartments in that house of which address I received from Opodo Opodo does not take any responsibility but claims that that hotel alleges that the booking was confirmed thus they will not refund me anything This is pure fraud and I have told Opodo that I will take action which I did I have now made a complaint to the European Consumer Center in Germany I live in Germany but it can take months before I will get an answer and no guarantee for a positive outcome I also saw an article in Daily Mail about the similar cases not Opodo so i also wrote them about my case with Opodo The more bad advertisement the better

To Whom It May Concern I honestly don t know how you handle your customers I am completely disappointed as you are creating false hopes by providing inaccurate information and an unrealistic timeframe I have been waiting for more than 72 hours since our last conversation with your agent on 17th of October 2024 for the voucher you promised but now it has been over 1 week overall three weeks since I reported this matter I am still waiting and it seems you have done nothing You keep giving different excuses and asking me to be patient due to system errors Please note that system errors should not take this long to fix It feels like you are making excuses because you do not intend to fulfill your promise This situation was not my fault it was your team s responsibility I informed you immediately when the deduction occurred in my bank account You keep delaying the process and making me feel foolish for expecting the voucher of 259AED to arrive within 72 hours via email In reality that timeframe you provided has not been met Is this how you treat your customers I hope this message captures your attention To the agent assisting with my concern please review the history of my calls and emails as I am tired of reaching out without any meaningful action taken I only receive false hopes and promises This is no longer an excuse it has been over 72 hours of waiting P S I am seeking your urgent attention to resolve this issue and provide the voucher as promised Thank you

Even 1 star is too much Be careful - they have a membership subscription scheme that is impossible to cancel and takes money for the card you use to book no one answers the phone number given and no email address all non refundable and when you protest say it is all in the small print total scam Do not use under any circumstances I have had to cancel my credit card because of this scam
