I have rented servers from OVH for like 8 years now and they have been so good with everything I don t know what I d do without them Edit I moved failover IPs to a new server which should be within minutes and yet it has still not happened after 20 hours If that was it fine but no I have contacted the support about their fault and yet have been told that I will only receive further assistance if I put the server into rescue mode making it unavailable for the hundreds of people that use it despite trace route clearly proving that it has nothing to do with the server as the trace route shows that it s still going to the old servers location not the new servers location in a completely different place So I tell them I ve put it into rescue mode and here waiting for 2 hours now wondering if they re ever going to do anything and at this rate I ll just have to pay for new failover IPs to get the server back online just because they don t accept that their failover IP migrator had a bug

So I think this review is a bit of a mixed bag I have been a mostly happy customer of OVH for a long time over 10 years I think the dedicated servers they provide are great I find most of the new er cloud solutions to be a bit clunky and that s where in my opinion OVH really needs to catch up The documentation in French and English isn t great the management UI isn t great and sometimes often buggy and quite a few things you need to pay and try before you actually have a full picture of the limitations e g LoadBalancer However after struggling with the LoadBalancer quite a bit due to limitations which in this case I don t think it should be one I got through customer support and got a great assistance After chasing up a fairly out-of-the-box initial reply he went out of his way to provide some support on the issue and I finally got it working as planned

Great range of services but don t expect much support You need to know what you are doing Calling has always been the best approach

Useful support in my specific situation it was an issue that couldn t easily be found by OVH support as it was application-specific but the measures taken will likely help to deter any traditional DDOS attacks

I have a IPMI connection fail problem and no more helpful information on google i have tried many way to find it out such as changing java version changing network changing browser changing on linux but NO WORK ping is ok but what is the matter problem then I submitt a ticket and get a respon soon In a word the respon show some general help no more useful again i reply with the error message than another respon arrived in the respon show upload network limit or timeout causes the network issue then i set up the jnlp network proxy then connect the IPMI IT WORK grateful

Nobody responded to me at all ignoring email tickets AVOID Edit Now responded to very quickly dealt with the issue and have said they re refunding my invoice Let s see what happens next

Was happy to see everything was setup properly knowing previous owners weren t technical at all Initial interaction was very positive and their support staff seems amazing

Use them for VPS and Domain solutions Their service is good Sometimes a little slow and their support could be improved but as someone who knows their way around servers its ok

You get what you pay for ppl complaining on here dont know what they are getting into if you have no experience in managing your own server then you shouldnt go unmanaged You pay for no support so its logical to wait if something goes wrong

Servers are good when they work Support is poor at best Other hosts are available with better hardware and for cheaper
