Great product

Great product and despite a couple of negative reviews on here it is certainly worth a try I have used iPads in recent years for drawing reading books magazines and marking up documents which I need to review at work The gloss of the original screen without the cover makes it almost impossible for your hand to move smoothly when writing or drawing with the Pencil - that little bit of frustration always took away from the convenience of having everything neatly and securely stored in one device I saw the ad on social media and thought this could deal with the frustrations of sticky palm and slipping Pencil nib I bought Paperlike with a little trepidation after reading many of the reviews on here as the application is fiddly and requires some care While I don t usually post reviews online the overall number of stars from prior reviews doesn t reflect my experience so perhaps others might be interested in reading a positive review I put off applying the cover until I had a quiet day at the weekend I watched the video twice and then followed its steps during the application process I limited movement in the room and used the reflection of natural light to ensure that I was removing every speck of dust before applying the cover Wrapping the guide stickers to the back of the product wasn t as seamless as the video demonstrates but I was able to undo the stickers adjust and realign Adding some beginner s luck I managed to center the screen cover properly with the first attempt and only had to fight off two or three air bubbles Starting with the cons - like any screen cover it will detract from your viewing experience It s noticeably different when looking at your Home Screen or reading from an internet browser a little bit like when a privacy screen is applied to a computer screen However you barely notice it when playing something on Netflix for example - it doesn t cover the screen entirely but this is for good reason - once I put the iPad back into the case the void is 1-2 millimetres on the borders- it isn t cheap but you do get a spare screen cover in the box Assuming it will withstand wear-and-tear of daily use for a few years I see the value for money Onto the reasons I like the product - the Pencil is much sturdier when drawing and writing - lives up the product s name- if you re making notes and writing quickly the sound is also much more like scribbling on paper than the unnatural tapping-on-glass sound which you get without the cover - reading books and magazines also feels more natural to the touch- I haven t noticed any scratches or fingerprints from any of the above activities - you have a spare cover in the box if the first attempt doesn t go well

Paperlike is a good option if you are comfortable with some scratches on the film that will increase over time and losing that high-resolution screen quality
