Quick and efficient

Efficient follow up phone call to a query about my service contract Answered questions clearly and honestly settled the deal quickly and easily PLEASE SEE MY POSTING 20th DECEMBER Plusheat are great at closing a deal with you but whoever I dealt with wasn t truthful or didn t understand their own T C s When it comes to actually needing your heating repaired they re not so good That could be because I live in rural Aberdeenshire but because I pay the same price as somebody in London where there are probably loads of engineers I don t see why I should accept lesser service

I was a little unsure about plusheat after being signed up by a most obsequious girl I have cancelled my policy

Pay monthly Watch you renewal terms

In my second year with Plusheat 1 call out last year engineer didn t turn up when I was told they would Renewed last month this time switching from monthly to an annual payment which worried me as they are not FSA regulated but stuck with them to ensure I avoided exclusion periods on switching to a new provider They offered me more cover as an incentive but what they DON T tell you is it then becomes a new policy and the 28 day exclusion period applies I had a reason to call them during this period and after some discussion they agreed to do the job at no extra cost However we re experiencing a cold spell the engineer once again didn t turn up so I phoned to chase it up Received an apology but they ve now sent me a new email saying I m not covered during the first 28 days I think they are short of engineers in Aberdeenshire and have used this as a pitiful excuse to avoid the job Oh and they keep your full annual payment if you cancel after the first 14 days a true sign of bunch of cowboys Looking forward to switching from them next year

We were without hot water and heating for a week in this weather with two vulnerable people in the household who struggled throughout This time I did not give only 1 star because Kiran from Plusheat tried her best to help us though we still had to wait for a week

Lack of own engineers means they rely

Lack of own engineers means they rely on third parties who have no interest in doing a proper job and cost PlusHeat money every time they come out e g when boiler broke down last two times no engineer noted down the serial number like British Gas would have Now they re asking for it to see if they can fully repair the boiler they won t if it s over 10years old The boiler was installed before I moved in here and sadly the seller s paperwork did not include this detail Manufacturer said the serial number is inside the boiler so it needs to be opened by a professional British Gas would have sent someone to check it Not PlusheatI am 5 months pregnant and with no heating now for 5 days Electrics broke down had an appointment for today - engineers did not turn up however I got an automated email saying they have attended and sent a report I had a different text saying they were coming out Sunday morning called them to say I am not in and to book another time Only to get a text saying the job has been sent back to Plusheat as the engineers could not find a timeslot next week they are hopeless do not sign up and I am on the platinum package

Appointment moved with no notice on the day of appointment and no phone call back as promised by them about the situation on the day Rebooked 48 hours later and all sorted

From functional to bad to terrible a sad sad story

So what can I say I was with plusheat for about three years the first year was a great deal zero call out fee and a decent price It got steadily more expensive as the years went on Whenever there was an issue I needed to call them out for it turned out that it wasn t covered by their policy this isn t me being ignorant you would assume radiator drainage and valve replacements would be covered in their fully comprehensive cover This resulted in me paying a call out fee for an engineer I didn t proceed with multiple times more fool me lesson learned now I would like to say the one thing they did get right was the annual gas safety certificate and boiler service Sadly these people could not organise a p ss up in a brewery Even with more than a months notice for the inspection plusheat failed to get an engineer to attend on the day they planned This happened twice and only when I requested my money back for the policy did they magically find an engineer for the job To top it all off after saying I did not wish to renew with them and turning down their retention offers which were still s hit they decided to quietly keep the policy on automatic renewal and see if I wouldn t notice 458 leave my account They soon corrected this when I phoned a very unfortunate advisor Kim Mato and told them that this would be theft Sorry Kim it s nothing personal but the company you work for is terrible find somewhere better Take my advice steer clear of these sorts of companies They are seldom worth the price tag Get yourself a core network of reliable trusted tradespeople and make them your first port of call It will be more expensive in the short term whilst you find them but it will pay for itself immeasurably in the long run Goodbye PlusHeat I shall be to recommend anyone considering you to steer well clear Edit Thanks for the reply PlusHeat it s just as bland generic and uncaring as I would expect from your service

Poor overall experience

Very little confidence in the company Unfortunately my overall experience with the company is very poor I was enticed away from my usual provider by a cash back offer 6 months later I still have received nothing I arranged a boiler service and received confirmations and reminders - when no engineer turned up on the day I found out Plus Heat had booked it for the following day When I tried to rebook I was told my policy didn t include a service as my boiler was too old I had to explain that my policy mentioned no such exemption The appointment has been booked and nothing more was mentioned so I remain a little confused as to whether it should have been excluded or not Overall not a particularly easy experience I have used this type of service plan for about 12 years using many different companies and this is by far and away the worst so far I just wonder if the engineer will turn up this time

The 2 have been Given to kevin Only YES to KIVIN ONLY

The 2 have been Given to kevin Only for being very polite helpful BUT the result of that was Shambles I give a negative score to the rest of the team especially the maintenance Customer support team WORST is the Complaints team who till now have not even responded to my complain going back a few days and another email sent yesterday PluHeat management You have left Kevin your customers Down
