AI Review Summary Based on 103 reviews

Overall customer experience with Prontocare is highly polarized, with a clear divide between extremely satisfied and deeply dissatisfied clients. Many customers praise the efficient, professional, and friendly service, highlighting quick repairs and excellent communication from staff like Rhys, Shaun, and Rob. The quality of repair work is frequently described as 'amazing,' 'perfect,' or 'like new,' with cars often returned valeted. However, a significant portion of customers report severe issues, including extremely long repair times (weeks to months), poor communication, unmet deadlines, and unresponsive staff. The courtesy car service is noted as a positive, but its availability and condition are sometimes criticized. The returns process is generally smooth for satisfied customers, but others report incomplete work, additional damage, or administrative problems like MOT issues. Product quality, referring to the repair itself, receives high marks for finish but is condemned by others for being 'botched' or causing new faults. Overall satisfaction is thus bifurcated: a large group is very happy and would recommend, while another group is furious and advises avoidance.

What customers love
  • Courtesy car provision and convenient collection/delivery
Common concerns
  • Extensively long repair times and delays
  • Problems with courtesy cars (availability, condition)
  • Administrative and post-repair issues (e.g., MOT,

Completed Nottingham

EDIT - 13 07 2022Car completed and received Hurrah Communication did improve as we neared completion The job was also an excellent finishI just wish over the period the communication had been better as it made the experience unnecessarily stressful and unpleasant My company car has been with Pronto Nottingham for nearly 9 weeks after an allocated repair via Davies Group insurance From the collection on the 23rd of February to today 25th of April i have had zero updates apart from one text message 3 weeks after collection to say my car was with the strip team and updates will follow as the repair progresses Since then I have attempted a weekly call for an update On the occasions I ve been able to get through I ve been told they are unable to give an update due to an unprecedented workload and on one occasion when commenting on the length of time and lack of communication heard the immortal words it is was it is Out of desperation today I ve asked my insurers to step in to see if they are able to get me an update They came back to me and have been told that additional damage was found to the vehicle parts have been ordered but they have no time frame on the parts It s only fair to say they have provided a courtesy car during this time and I ve experienced very little hardship as I m able to partially do my job However I travel a lot for work and had I known it would have taken this long I would have made prior arrangements It feels a little unfair to leave a review when the work hasn t yet been carried out but to see another new review here with a longer waiting time is alarming I ll update when the work is carried out

Drastically gone down hill

King s lynn branch appalling Used Pronto before and the service was excellent now its appalling Dispite not being one of the approved repair shops by Kitsune insurance they agreed for Pronto to do the work on my car My previous posative experience took me back to them BIG MISTAKE March an estimate was done on my car and although my insurers agreed to use pronto I could never get hold of them for updates Everything it seems what they said didn t add up with the insurers One staff member said he d been copied into an email and my car was to be booked in for repair the other said they d heard nothing lie upon lie it seems Kitsune then informs me Prontosestimate was way to high leaving me to pay a 1000 towards cost My insurers have now cancelled the repair job with Pronto and it s going to another repair shop Wasted six months trying to get my car repaired

Weak quality control

Pronto were the approved repair centre chosen by my insurer for accident repairs I m not sure why as the service was not up to standard For a relatively minor front wing repair and restoration it took Pronto 3 weeks initially On collection the workmanship was unacceptable so I refused to sign off the repair It took another 10 days and the intervention of my insurers to get the remedial work done On second collection I noticed that the paint had not been finished properly with raised spots and small bubbles still visible This time the paintwork was flatted and polished on the spot as I waited It would appear that quality control is not a strong point for Pronto Most annoying was that the quality control checklist had been ticked off completely including paintwork quality ready for me to sign The properly finished work was more than acceptable Just a shame that Pronto can t get it right first time and in good time

Great service let down by poor cleanliness

A helpful punctual bunch who repaired my van to a high standard Not a show winning finish but pretty good They let themselves down by returning my vehicle in a filthy state Both the exterior but moreover the interior are filthy I now have to spend a couple of hours cleaning just the inside No excuse for it

Go in with your eyes open that they are not the quickest repairers

My car was involved in a collision and needed a front end rebuild largely cosmetic While the car was in the centre I asked for additional work by way of a bumper respray The negatives were that the car was with them for a very long time from November to January Parts issues were cited but having gone to HONDA and spoke to them the parts in their opinion would have been available I make no judgement on this information The car had a dent in the wing upon going in to the body shop which I had expected to get repaired under the insurance when the car was eventually returned it had stock bumper replacement and not the AERO pack which the vehicle had originally The dent in the wing had not been fixed I was not happy with this I went through my insurance company and their engineer assessor liaised with Pronto and two weeks later the car was in for the remedial work which took a further week On the positive side The front office staff were as helpful as the could be under the circumstances The Bumper respray looks really good But was expensive and the dent cannot be seen now The work was of a good standard but just took a long time to get resolved Personally I would look elsewhere first but would use them again at a push
