No point in booking online
Booked a particular table via the website as it is the least damaged and most level table Upon arrival I get told that I have been moved to a different table one with a big tear in the cloth I asked to be moved to a different table upstairs as I refused to play on a table that damaged The table had been given to someone else I m assuming a regular who was only just taking off the cover so it wasn t like someone was already playing on it Very disappointing service as booking online is effectively pointless because it doesn t matter what table you book when it can just be given to regulars with zero notice very poor show The table I ended up playing on had lots of little grazes all over the cloth and made the path of the balls unreliable at a slower pace If you book a particular table you should be given that table and the English pool tables need reclothing and re-levelling to make them worth the 10 90ph price tag

Awful customer service
This is a review of Riley customer services at enquiries at rileys co uk I sent 5 short and polite emails over the course of 1 month to ask about vouchers I had been sent that were not working I got no reply at all I couldn t find any email to help resolve the problem so resorted to Twitter X and that didn t work either I am a loyal customer who spends a lot of money in my local club so it s frustrating to be treated badly

Don t bother
Absolutely ridiculous experience A poor man s flight club There s no going to the bar just ordering You have to stand there and faff for a good 10 minutes and every single member has to sign or you don t get any drinks food etc rubbish experience a rubbish place

Day ruined by alarm and poor organisation
Family travelled from different areas of the north west to spend the day celebrating my dads grandad recent operation which means he can get out and about a bit more at Riley s in Chester Dad s disabled and has hearing aides After an hour the fire alarm sounded constantly for about 45 minutes Dad really struggled and had to go outside take his hearing aides out and it s pretty much ruined the day The team at Riley s did all they could to try and help but it was out of their control really The alarm continued and continued and finally went off It s a real shame it ruined our big day As I say - staff were great but this should not have been such a big problem to fix

Awful food very rude staff
Went for a few hours expecting good things but genuinely it was horrendous firstly the staff are so rude there It s absolutely laughable that you have to be a member to even buy a drink anyone without a smart phone don t even bother my friend couldn t order food off my membership as he had to make one himself When a friend joked to the staff member whether or not she was on commision we were told if you don t like it leave The food was over priced and wasn t enjoyable at all the staff and food ruined what would ve been a pleasurable experience
