Beware of Rockford Properties
My experience with Rockford Properties was fraught with problems leading me to advise potential tenants to steer clear From the outset the level of professionalism and tenant care was alarmingly low Upon move-in the apartment was in a disheartening state of cleanliness suggesting negligence in property upkeep Despite ensuring the property was professionally cleaned at the end of our lease with receipts to prove it we were still inexplicably charged a cleaning fee from our deposit The property s maintenance issues were severe and inadequately addressed A significant water leak in our hallway which quickly escalated into an emergency was met with an unresponsive emergency line and subsequent dismissive and unprofessional conduct from the property manager Hazel Young Her handling of the situation and overall demeanor were far from what one would expect from a professional in her position The contractors sent to rectify issues were notably ill-equipped and seemingly unqualified exemplified by their request for basic tools upon arrival Compounded by the negligence towards a non-functional fire alarm the situation posed a safety risk that was distressingly overlooked Our boiler problems were persistent and disruptive with a technician frequently on-site leaving a mess and infringing on our personal space The advertised shared garden was a misrepresentation being inaccessible and poorly maintained Moreover a persistent mice problem was blatantly ignored despite repeated reports Heating was another unresolved issue with no progress despite extensive technician visits During our final inspection despite an immaculately maintained apartment we faced baseless accusations and unwarranted deductions from our deposit The lack of professionalism reached its peak on our moving day with an unannounced and intrusive flat viewing further showcasing the agency s disregard for standard protocols and tenant privacy In conclusion my tenancy with Rockford Properties was marred by a series of unaddressed issues poor communication and a general lack of concern for tenant welfare I strongly recommend prospective tenants to consider other agencies as my experience with Rockford was nothing short of a debacle

The very worse Agent anyone can ever
The very worse Agent anyone can ever get Everything said about them is so true and more Won t wish them for my worse enemy Very rude people who try to blame you if there is fault in the property and make you pay for it I live in their flat for five years and it was horrible We are still fighting to get our deposit from them as they are trying to claim our full deposit for cleaning after we have cleaned and painted the property In our 5yrs in their property we were only late rent for 3month in 2018 due to lost of job but we still paiy it and kept paying early after that but they never stop insulting us at every opportunity about it even put it in our reference after paying 36 for reference to move out They also force us to move out of the property earlier than the contract end date as they want us to accept viewings when we still have morethan 6months for it to end in this pandemic period I complain about it as I have a new baby and the people don t sanitizer their hands before coming in with their shoes on and the manager was very rude with her reply Infact I can t write all of their disgusting attitude All they care about is money not their tenants Stay far away from this people So glad I and my family left them The staff are worse kind of people to come across

If I could put 0 stars I would I moved in and the shower wasn t working along with a multitude of other problems I reported this to them multiple times and it took a month and a half for them to fix it There were holes in the floor thatd been covered with lino and they said itd been fine just dont stand on it The whole flat was freezing and I asked them to help fix the radiators and it took till mid December for that to happen When I was moving out I was never informed of viewings and was told it was a system error This happened three times they never fixed it I spent two days with my parents cleaning the entire flat and they still charged me for cleaning costs there was not a spot of dirt it was cleaner than when I moved in If you happen to get locked out I had once dont expect them to be understanding I was locked out for a whole weekend without access to me medication because their emergency number didn t have access to the spare keys so the option was to either stay elsewhere or have him break the door down for 120 then pay to get it fixed and the locks changed after When I went to get the spare keys I explained that I hadn t had my medication all weekend and thankfully it wasn t life threatening but if it was I could ve died The receptionist told me to be more careful and be smarter dont lock yourself out again I wouldnt recommend they overcharge and will try to scam you out every penny you have

Really bad experience
Rockford properties doesn t even deserve 1 star when i applied for a property I had to put a deposit down with the application but they didn t even bother looking at the application to let me know if I had it or not and found out what they do is illegal had to get my money back with such hassle but at least I got the money back Absolutely Ridiculous

Absolutely horrible
Absolutely horrible We moved in to a flat with the promise of being allowed pets I was told this as i went for the viewing payed the deposit and picked up the keys Give it a few weeks and they start harassing us due to having pets that weren t allowed They scheduled weekly visits for the three months we were there which they showed up to one of That wasn t even the worst of it We moved out because of the harassment into another of their properties which was our biggest mistake A day after we moved in which was in winter at this point the heating stopped working and so did the hot water On top of this the roof and walls started to leak We informed them constantly of this with promises of it being fixed We needed this dealt to quickly as mold was growing all along the walls and i was at serious risk due to a medical condition they were aware of We were told they would look at it and then after that we were ignored until we took further action and went to citizens advice to sue At this point we were moving out as it had been 4 months we had dealt with this for They are horrible and should not be allowed to be a company anymore witj how they treat students or anyone who lets with them

Scamming useless crooks
Had a nightmare 6 months with Rockford Properties Moved into a dirty place but guess what They still took a cleaning fee out of our deposit We even had receipts to show it was cleaned up Early on our ceiling started leaking during the night we tried calling their emergency number all night no answer Then Hazel the property manager has a go at us for not calling sooner talk about a joke They finally send these clueless cowboy electricians who didn t even bring a screwdriver And the fire alarm Kaput because of water damage but they didn t care The boiler was a mess from the start Some guy was practically living with us trying to fix it leaving his dirty tools around total invasion of privacy The ad mentioned a shared garden but it was more like a junkyard Oh and we had mice Emailed Rockford a bunch of times nothing done The heating was a bust too but we didn t bother telling them what s the point When moving out the place was spotless but they still took money from our deposit for cleaning and some mysterious other charges And get this they had a viewing on our last day without telling us Some guy just barges in with a crowd while our stuff s all over the place Totally unprofessional from start to finish If you value your peace of mind stay away from Rockford Properties The bins outside were more luxurious And the price of rent they are charging for that dive is scandalous

Absolute JOKE of a company
Absolute JOKE of a company Wish I had saw these reviews before going ahead with renting my flat a couple years ago Me and my partner had enough and recently moved in December 2022 We had problems ever since the date of move in which was during COVID We already had issues with the carpets where we had to make sure we were wearing shoes going about the flat as nails were sticking into our feet one of the bedrooms had a broken window there was leaks coming through the bathroom which weren t disclosed as an issue before move in NONE of the issues I queried about were ever handled - even leaving the flat that same window was still broken the carpets were still a problem and there millions of other problems that arises during our stay which were outwith our control like a MASSIVE damp patch that every single person in the building was experiencing Had issues with rats aswell where their solution was for me to put posters up downstairs in the bin area for people to not put rubbish on the floor which wasn t the issue Speaking of rats it was the SENIOR PROPERTY MANAGER that handled everything I always dread to send an email about another problem as I knew it would be met with a snarky arshole response from her Absolute JOKE of a property manager Hopefully she gets the sack soon

If I could give minus stars I would Absolute joke of a company Least helpful people in customer service Whenever anything goes wrong not only will they do anything to avoid giving help they will also try place the blame on tenants As someone who has worked in customer service for 10 years and who has had staff under me I would be sacking people if they had the same attitude You can never get access to the person you need on the phone A year we have been in this flat and they will only communicate through emails I completely understand flat and technical faults are not due to the people in the office but as the face of their business their customer service skills is absolutely shocking I can not advise everyone enough to STAY AWAY

Worst experience I have ever had
Worst experience I have ever had Had to collect keys at 11am arrived there at 10 45 and got rudely told to wait outside until 11am Arrived at the flat I discovered that washing machine and dryer that were promised to be there during the view were not there at all Furthermore painters were still fixing the flat and left a mess of dust paint spills and dirt to clean myself Heaters were not working and materasses were badly stained As a cherry on top of the cake I arrived in a flat with a flea infestation After contacting the agency I was told I had to wait until Monday if not later to get a possible solution because the property manager was not there it was Thursday when I called Oh also they show pictures of the property on the website that could easily be 5 years old There are too many horrible experiences to list here but avoid this company at all costs

Won t fix anything
Moved in in December arrived to the flat with debt on both electricity and gas meters no power heating They flat out refused to help said utilities were not their responsibility Won t reimburse my overnight stay in the hotel as it took more than one working day to sort everything out with the gas company and have the lights back on Also reported numerous issues with the house and the flat which have been compounding since my move-in date It s mid-February my flat has multiple leaks and none of the stuff that s been raised so far has been addressed - had to get tenants union involved Only once the union contacted them they finally budged and fixed one thing off the list changed the light bulbs in the staircase must have cost a whopping 6-8 - and the guy who came to do it left the spent light bulbs on top of a doorframe didn t even bother to clean up after himself Have to fight long and hard for them to do anything
