A deceitful subscription process They will not refund my money 540

I have subscribed to this one year ago While the snacks are nice it was 539 99 for one year subscription 49 99 month which is expensive for a box of 25 snacks My subscription ended in April but they charged me for another year in May for 540 There was no indication that this is an automatic renewal when I subscribed to it I requested for a refund when I received the notification of payment but they have been refusing to give me a refund because apparently it has already entered their system Instead they have sent the first box I kept opening a ticket to request for a refund because I did not get any notification of a renewal but they keep closing the ticket and are refusing to refund my payment If I had known that they will be this deceitful then I wouldn t have subscribe to them at all You can buy the snack they are sending in your local asian shops for much cheaper I would not recommend subscribing to them at all So they have replied but I am nit allowed to reply to them I was never informed that this is an automatic renewal subscription I have been keeping an eye on the boxes I was receiving and there was nothing showing after the last box There was no indication whatsoever that there will be further deliveries after this After learning that you have taken my money without my permission All 540 of it I have contacted to request that the subscription be cancelled because I DID NOT WANT IT You refused to cancel and refund my money or any part of it You never intend to inform your customers and use the word subscription to make it sound acceptable to scam people of their money The snacks that youre sending are getting more and more mediocre as well

Frustrating 2nd Month of Subscription

This is only my second month on the Sakura co subscription The first month my box came within a week- express shipping with tracking throughout the entire process which was what I paid for This month the July box came after a full month had passed and tracking had not been updated until 3 weeks after it shipped Not only that the box and some snacks inside even arrived damaged I had contacted customer service to see what was taking so long but they couldn t even tell me where my box was So much for tracking After I notified customer service that some of the snacks and the box arrived damaged they said that they could not look after the box the entirety of the delivery process which is understandable however it is their fault for using a courier that can properly deliver the package within the given time frame or even to just provide tracking For 3 weeks I had no idea where the package even was and neither did the customer service We did come to an amiable solution though this entire process was extremely frustrating likely for customer service as well I am happy with the customer service agent I dealt with I gave an extra star because the snacks I have tried so far have been tasty and the homegood that they sent this month is well made and very cute I just wish that it was delivered properly and undamaged I hope that Sakura co will strive to make sure that this doesn t occur again

Not worth 50

It was my first time ordering from sukuraco I didn t enjoy any of the snacks in their Valentine s Day box Mainly all of the snacks were flavored with artificial strawberry which tasted really bad The best part were the cat chopsticks that they threw in for free All in all it was not worth 50 Not to mention the express shipping took 3 weeks to arrive Go with Bokksu instead

I received the wrong box

I ordered the Sakuraco april box and I got the TokyoTreat april box instead As for the snacks I have not tried any yet The box came in time but I did not receive the one I wanted

All of the Senbi and rice crackers

All of the Senbi and rice crackers arrived broken in lots of peices its very disappointing they might need to rethink their delivery and packaging

Rubbish delivery and be careful of exchange rate

Wheres my box AGAIN Australia Subscribed Dec 202212months subscription Each box is taking longer and longer to arrive and the company does not care No Tracking details available once leaves the area of Japan and Australia Post say talk to company Tokyo Treat parent company of several boxes including mine Sakuraco Items arrive not fresh even with silica gel stuff in them and my last jelly item had returned to a liquid first time this happened Gift items quality fluctuates so much and often is rubbish ie plastic bowl I loved my first box and was happy with the speed of delivery When you look at the exchange rate it is NOT a GOOD SUBSCRIPTION BOX value and with crap delivery times over a month now and the next months box is on its way lol Any competitions that are offered as incentives as a subscriber have ended before I even get my box Save your money The company does NOT CARE

Money taken and Box not dispatched

I had a good initial experience with fast delivery of some tasty products and a generous box But they have taken my second month payment on the 12th October and my box is showing as packed but not yet dispatched We are almost in November and I have no way to query where my box is or request a refund I will be cancelling the subscription if I am not promptly contacted and the matter resolved and recovering my costs through PayPal

Pretty disappointing experience

We did a 6 month subscription with Sakuraco and its been quite a disappointing experience The food is decent but still not worth the price shipping cost on top of that Too much rice cake Rice cake every month and takes up to a third of a box while there could be other snack types included instead The most important thing is my husband left a review a couple months ago to show his disappointment He was promised a makeup box since your company told him you valued your customer experience The box never came and your employee even stopped responding We wont order more after our subscription ends and we wont recommend this experience to anyone else either

Need more transparency communication

Editing my initial review after reaching out to customer service I finally decided to try sakuraco out because the Holliday box location is very dear to me and because of a favorite treat from Okinawa was to be included When the box arrived everything was pretty great However and the reason why I can t recommend is one of the advertised items was changed without prior notice when there was plenty of time to do so Instead of the Okinawa salt daifuku it included yomogi daifuku which was a massive disappointment To me if a change is made it should be communicated prior Even the last day this box was available to order there was no mention of this change and the item was still advertised as part of it I was offered one additional item in my next box however at this time I will not continue using this service I don t want to get my hopes again only for it to be changed without notice

Deceptive advertising to say the least

Deceptive advertising to say the least You get a heap of plastic packages filled with crumbs and mini candies Things that are nice in design but unsurprising and sometimes right out disappointing in taste this was not what we expected and it is a pity it had to travel the world to reach us
