Overall a great themed box

Some of my cookie treats were broken but the box was safely packed so I think it was before shipping I loved the theme of this box all the rabbits were adorable My favorite were the rabbit gummies with the moon such a nice texture and sweet taste

Great way to sample Japanese snacks

Great way to sample Japanese snacks and you can buy more of the ones you like on japanhaul Boxes can sometimes a bit hit or miss Responsive when I emailed about a missing box

Fun way to sample some unique Japanese treats

They are like a Japan experience in a little box Good quality items many artisan made Nicely presented booklet with every box covering the region in focus producers manufacturers and traditions A little expensive especially as it is billed in USD although the yen has not been strong lately Would be more value for money if the default currency was the Japanese yen Sometimes items are a little repetitive However my family has made a lovely tradition of unpacking reading and sampling together each month

Summer time with Okinawa Retreat

Okinawa Retreat box was full of flavours of brown sugar and shikuwasa which are famous in Okinawa i enjoyed summer time with this box however i was so sad not to win this month s photo contest they did not even give me any reaction to my photos as if they were invisible I loved Shikuwasa Manju so very much And the lovely jasmin flavoured Okinawa Sanpincha

I love these boxes but mochi

I love these boxes Reading about the foods before I try them is a joy This months in particular I loved the little sake cup I ve actually started drinking sake just because I have it My only complaint is I ve been unable to enjoy the mochi in every box so far because it s wrapped in plastic and gets stuck to it in a way that makes unwrapping impossible I tried refrigerating it but that didn t help either

Lots to love a few wishes

I really love the snacks that I can eat Many I can t because I can t eat shellfish I love the beautiful non-food items like the little dishes and the furoshiki cloth I wish the nutrition information page were printed in a larger font especially the ingredients list It s so tiny I can barely read it even with my glasses I also wish the photos for the nutrition information would show the package so I don t have to guess or open the package to see which snacks I can eat I do very much appreciate reading about the culture and history behind each region and each business that makes each snack The boxes are delightful

Positive surprise

I almost didn t order this months box but I m glad I did get it This box surprised me Great sweet things like salted caramel nut sable and edomae sushi candy A lot of guite ok interesting stuff like hitoike cafe cream cake and hina arare Salty stuff were also a lot more better than in last box Also yatsuhashi tastes like traditional Christmas rice porridge in our country Once again green tea is a no for me I m not a tea person and tea that tastes like grass definitely isn t for me But overall great box that surprised me positively

I love these boxes

I love these boxes I may not like all of the food items as some of the sweet salty combos just don t agree with my palate but most of the treats are delightful and I especially love the small handcrafted items I also thoroughly enjoy reading about the history of the places in Japan where the treats originate and it makes me all the more excited to visit there one day

Reminds me of Japan

This was a lovely surprise as a gift I spent many years in Japan and I really appreciate the handcrafted and carefully selected items in each box However I have had to discard about half of the contents with this most recent box due to their being potential traces of seafood Of course I greatly appreciate the allergen information listed of any and all potential allergens It would be nice though if they would include more of the foods that do not have these for those customers who do not can not consume this type of food It is disappointing to have to forgo eating what I m sure is otherwise delicious food
