Very bad customer service and communication

Our shipment docked in New York 5 weeks ago The container has still not been offloaded and delivery has been dragged out for weeks now There is still no indication of when we will receive our goods Information provided by our agent has either been incorrect or unsatisfactory In the meantime we are expected to pay demurrage storage fees for the inefficiency of your operation

Terrible unprofessional service - 0 stars

Move from Texas to Portugal and a part of the goods from Portugal on to Amsterdam Paintings were packed or rather thrown into a large box without any separation or packaging of the individual paintings They ew a piece of paper around a large lamp and shade together without even taking the shade off it came completely smashed of course Randomly stacks of plates had not been packed individually and of course they were broken Schumacher does not take any responsibility and say it s an insurance question The insur me know ance cut our estimate in half plus the 500 own risk and are willing to pay 83 I am telling them this is not an insurance matter but rather negligence from their part I am planning to go to the BBB If anyone has a similar experience please let me know

Stay away from Schumacher Cargo Logistics Absolutely horrified by the arrogance of the company The cargo came late damaged they demanded fees even if I did not hire them - it was by a moving company I paid everything in advance The communication is poor and the service is even worse They don t care about clients

No organization extra fees stay away

My agent in London subcontracted Schumacher for the US part of my international move As soon as they received the shipment they sent new charges made pay shuttle service truck while not necessary Very slow it took them 2 months and 12 days to deliver my shipment from Newark to Chicago No organization they give a delivery window of 3 days not even with one week notice Then got called on Saturday at 5 pm to tell me delivery will be Sunday from 8 30 am This is not a good company stay away

Working with them since 2003 I can say that all you read here on trust pilot is the truthReally disappointed After a 20 year experience from LA the service turned bad abd bad Lack of respect and communication despite emails sent to the Manager no response from them They are only interested in selling after that it gets too complicated

If I could give them 0 stars I would Items lost that they said they had no record of even though they were the ones recording the items I had photographic evidence of missing item Luckily Vanlines found it in their warehouse not labeled or packed They told me it would take 6 weeks or so it arrived 6months later when I couldn t get back to NZ to check anything Finally returned home to a broken chair so badly packed I don t know why they bothered Rude unhelpful and incompetent stay away from them

Worst customer service ever

As others have said terrible experience My shipment sat in the port in NY is sitting in the port in NY for weeks and then they charge you for that even though you have no control over it and won t release your shipment until you sell a kidney to them their policies are challenging to understand externally you provide them with info they ask and they say it s not enough I ve paid them a ridiculous fee and they continue to hold my goods hostage No wonder shipping industry is so backed up Their team insulted me along the way as well

If I could put -100 stars I would I paid a fortune to move from NY to Italy 2 full extra size containers Many items lost and never arrived in Italy rare paintings photographs Murano glass chandeliers an antique very large Venetian mirror boxed with no protection and broken to pieces not even written fragile outside the wooden box paintings framed with glass stuffed together in the same box without protection and of course broken to pieces Antique chairs without the seating and much more I m crying so hard from the loss around 50 000 damage None is answering and none responsible just ignoring or blaming someone else I m going to report it to police as many items are unique listed and certified They are thieves and I beg you to never ever use them

Unabashedly Dishonest AVOID

Unfortunately our otherwise-great UK mover contracted with Schumacher for the US leg of our international move Once Schumacher had our things they sprung made-up new charges on us They were also totally disorganized and gave us only one day s notice that our stuff was arriving And then charged us yet another new fee because it was impossible for us to reserve parking at that point This is a shady company that doesn t even pretend otherwise Stay away
