"STILL NO RESOLUTION"

STILL NO RESOLUTIONSince my last review where Shawbrook asked for my email and info so they could take a look I have received no further communications explanations as to where my money is I have provided all necessary information and more and there has been no contact for nearly TWO WEEKS

"Ignored the reason for my complaint "

I made a complaint to Shawbrook about their corrupt underhand tactics of reducing my interest rate to 0 1 while holding onto my money for 4 days past my transfer request date This complaint was completely ignored and instead they concentrated on how they are allowed to take 15 days to transfer your money under ISA rules Anyone who saves with Shawbrook deserves to lose their money when they most likely go bankrupt

"Customer Service in Free-Fall"

Tried to withdraw funds from my Easy Access account this morning and discovered Shawbrook had failed to action the change of nominated account three years ago So I can t withdraw the funds Should change the name of the product to Bloody Difficult to Access account Left messages and tried phoning and was left hanging in their queue No response so far Update Finally managed to get though on the phone after 3 days of trying The call centre agent told me they have a backlog of messages because so many people are phoning The online agent told me they re not answering calls because so many customers are messaging This is a classic customer service death spiral - messages ignored so customers phone so more messages ignored inciting even more calls and so on Told that my account migrated to a new system in January and not all my details were transferred - including my nominated account So we set that up over the phone and I can now operate my account But is all well I can t have confidence in a bank that doesn t allow me to easily access my funds in an easy access account So instead of just transferring the funds I originally wanted I transferred the whole balance and closed the account All of my accounts with Shawbrook are now closed

"Unbelievably hard to manage online or "

Unbelievably hard to manage online or contact them when the SMS Codes are ridiculously delayed Telephone message says You are position in the queue - what position would be useful to know how long it might take the call to be answered Easy Access Savings account terms and conditions misleadingEventually got through to be told having difficulty hearing me and then ended the call Cancelled account and went elsewhere for better service

"Incredulous "

My wife and I hold a 45 day notice Joint Account The account is linked to my current account the nominated account to which monthly interest payments have been going without issue We requested the closure of the account a few months ago as we have the balance of holiday to pay We were emailed to say the the closure would take place on the 08 04 24 My wife received an email on 08 04 24 to say that there was a problem with the transfer as they couldn t confirm that the account is hers Obviously not because the nominated account is mine the husband The account to which the monthly interest payments have been going It s a JOINT account for goodness sake They wanted her to verify her bank details via a link Alarm bells ringing We don t click on any links to confirm any bank details EVER She used the online portal to request that the funds be released to my current account Two days later and still no transfer of funds but another email request to click on a link to confirm her account details I decided to phone as we were unable to make any progress via the online portal After a 20 minute telephone conversation I was assured the funds would clear into my account by end of business 11 04 24 Logged into my current account this morning and lo and behold still no transfer of OUR money Phoned again this morning and spoke to someone to explain we have a balance of a holiday to pay for today or we lose the holiday He apologised and understood our frustration but could not understand why the transfer had not been actioned He has also now promised to action this and to phone back when it is done I await with bated breath In a nutshell Shawbrook have held onto our money since Monday and it is now Friday There is a holiday to be paid for that we could end up losing Reading these reviews it seems a common tactic to hold onto customers money Imagine how much interest the bank is making on the money of their customers unable to access their funds This should not be allowed If we lose the deposit to our dream family holiday I shall hold Shawbrook solely responsible for not releasing my funds on time and will be seeking compensation UPDATE Our money has finally been transferred within hours of today s phone call albeit 4 days late Let s see if my wife s ISA transfer will happen today without a hitch Not very hopeful now based on my experience of closing a Joint Account and reading some more reviews

"It is very difficult to withdraw money "

It is very difficult to withdraw money from a Shawbrook Easy Access account I requested the withdrawal yesterday morning and 24 hours later I have no money Shawbrook stop paying interest as soon as you request the withdrawal but don t action the request quite so quickly Also Shawbrook have reduced the interest rates on their Easy Access accounts twice in recent months - despite no change in the base rate I m also suspicious of the integrity of a company who fill their Trustpilot reviews with very dubious looking 5 star reviews from people who either only give 5 star reviews or have given their first ever review to a company whose website is really user friendly

"I have been ignored by the complaints team"

I made a complaint where the main issue was completely ignored so they could concentrate my complaint on a point where there was no bank error I have requested for my actual complaint to be looked into but have been completely ignored Manipulation of complaints to suit Shawbrook bank should not be allowed but it seems the banks can get away with whatever they want I will be going to the Financial Ombudsman Service and it is a shame that they would rather pay a fee to the Financial Ombudsman Service instead of offering me good customer service and some compensation for the money I have lost through Shawbrook unfairly holding onto my money past my transfer request date and cutting the rate from 4 to 0 1

"Can t believe I can t login into my "

Can t believe I can t login into my account again This is so frustrating which appears to happen at each bank holiday weekend the time when customers have a more time to review their finances Sort yourselves out please otherwise I will move my portfolio elsewhere

"Shawbrook are reducing their interest "

Shawbrook are reducing their interest rate on an existing Easy Access account on 1st May 2024 even though the Bank of England has yet to reduce its interest rates This is the second time they will have done this in a couple of months I have withdrawn all my instant access savings apart from the minimum balance It is also not an instant access account because it has taken over 24hrs for monies to be deposited in my nominated current account I have not had these issues with other savings institutions

"Heartless company don t care about customers"

Could give less if I could-EDIT- They have replied asking for more info 8hrs ago to assist and I have had no further contact -UPDATE- 5 DAYS LATER no further contact from Shawbrook Disappointed but not surprised I am now going onto 6mths unemployment I asked for MY money back and I was met with fake empathy and a seemingly copy and paste message I have to prove again my financial hardships and was told that I -may- only get my money under special circumstances and to wait on their review team This has been ongoing for 6mths with no end date in sight If 6mths unemployment being deep in debt and having an overdrawn account does not qualify as these above terms I do not know what else to do
