Very Poor Logistics

Platform for buying things you don t need - order cancellation is very liberal You cannot expect to get the items you order when shopee cancels the order due to seller not ship out I don t know whether sellers are even given ample time to prepare and ship out item or not Maybe weekends are considered into the timeframe as my cancelled orders were all made in weekends It is quite a hassle to go monitor the status of what you bought until a prolonged period of time then u check your orders and realise order cancelled a few days in Also one of my cancelled orders that I was very sure it s due to seller not shipped out is now reflected as non payment How could this be possible when my payment I did make was refunded to me due to order not fulfilled Non payment is something after the fact It looks like is changeable to manage the seller s record at the expense of the buyer Also claimed vouchers were not able to be utilized I guess this is what limited redemption means which is not explained Only when u experience then u know Shopper first need to quickly claim a voucher upon its release and then we cannot expect to use it because there is a second quota to also quickly checkout with it It looks like shopee need to clean up the implementation of their operations Until then the shoppers have to spend more effort to understand how to work around shopee Coming from someone who has also shopped at Qoo10 and Lazada Gave 2 stars one extra star for the wide range of items esp snacks from overseas sellers and customer service is able to understand my issue and resolve it slowly but surely However 2 stars overall is the maximum I can give so far Edited to add I m not able to leave rating for orders made a month ago On app Didn t check PC version So reliable sellers lost favourable ratings like that just cos buyers are not quick enough And so had the experience been unpleasant does that mean shoppers who are not quick enough would be unable to leave bad rating

Its okay but

I saw this really cute poncho for around RM26 and placed my order I got a notification saying that my purchase was being processed I was really excited and I usually don t mind waiting at all it could come a few days late and I wouldn t care as long as I receive my item Thing is 9 days have passed and I have not received a single notification about the order at all I thought to myself surely it wouldn t take that long Shortly after that I got a notification saying my order was canceled because the seller failed to ship on time and my payment would be refunded I thought it was odd but that s okay maybe stock ran out I ll just place another order again cause my payment was refunded to me and all I also contacted the seller after placing my order because Shopee suggested that I do I didn t receive a reply and I thought hey that s alright So I contacted the seller again I asked if the poncho was in stock as my previous order was canceled if it was I would place a new order What annoyed me was the seller was clearly online but they just refused to read my messages So I decided to just take a look at the poncho again to my shock the price has gone up from RM26 to RM70 60 I was baffled At this point I was just upset and disappointed I decided to just give up on that poncho and of course I still have not gotten a single reply from the seller I get if you don t have stock I do not mind waiting at all don t just cancel my order without asking me though It was a really unpleasant experience I understand this isn t Shopees fault but still that just felt like a huge slap to the face

Comparing Shopee with Lazada

Its a very affordable shipping option but the delivery person is very arrogant and rude

Comparing Shopee with Lazada Shopee needs a lot of improvement on their service Firstly bad sellers all around that does not ship out item in time It is very hard to chat with them as they are not responsive at all Secondly Shopee should have sent emails to customers who just purchased an item from Shopee We are not notified on where is our parcel as the status update is very slow Whereas Lazada takes very quick action delivery on-time and very responsive towards every order Shopee needs this As customers we need to know on where is our parcel so the status update should be quicker and more efficient Also they need to manage and control the type of sellers This is serious as sometimes we pay for what we don t get in the end When want to cancel order the seller sometimes do not accept So means you will not get your refund back

Sellers taking advantage of the star-rating system

Hi shopee I ordered several items last Jul 15 and made payment OTC in BDO on jul 17 only to find out 2 of these items were cancelled because payment was not made on the prescribed time I believe making a payment of 2 days after an order is very reasonable You need to extend your window of payment before cancelling an order As it is I ve already made payments and had to contact each seller to deliver 2 to 3 days from date of ordering is a bit tight especially for people who do not have online banking I use OTC deposits because I feel more secured this way With the pandemic and all we do not have the luxury of time to go to the bank and pay Everything is scheduled Perhaps you can make 1 week a reasonable window for payment Not a very good experience I actually bought 7K worth of items in shopee

No customer service when things go wrong

The problem with a lot of Shopee sellers is that when a buyer gives them a low rating because they received defective products the seller also gives the buyer a low rating for complaining Where s the justice in that For a customer especially those of us who paid in advance it is a big inconvenience for us knowing that the product we purchased is defective and unusable The inconvenience is not even on the seller s part because they already got our money And yet they gave us low scores just because we complained The sad thing is Shopee doesn t seem to have a policy that protects buyers from unprofessional sellers like these who take advantage of the Shopee star-rating system to attack honest buyers who complain about their defective products Shopee seems to be more interested in protecting the sellers not the buyers

Absolutely Horrible

Shopee is great when things go right but when things go wrong they go spectacularly wrong As others have mentioned here there is NO protection for buyers at all Sellers are allowed to make cancellation of a sale ship out items after their dispatch window riraanne81 without notice but buyers need approval from sellers to cancel their purchases Shopee customer service is virtually non-existent and in the chance you get to speak to somebody it s an automated reply I won t dismiss Shopee entirely but beware there is no customer service when things go wrong

The delivery guys don t have a good

Horrible The clothes I bought in shopee wasn t the same quality as it described in the bio and also only one of my clothes came out as what it looks like quality still horrible others isn t what I bought Will not buy from shopee this year next year I hope it will improve
