A joke of a charity
Had to come here for the first time and received an abysmal service The staff were rude and had a bad attitude Other people in the queue were asking staff members if they had an item and were given it Yet when I asked I was told they didn t have any yet they gave some to the next person after me For a place that s supposed to be there for people in a bad time they re not very good at their job

I purchased a chair on ebay in early Dec 2023 they never responded to the messages via ebay with collection instructions Neither did they answer the phone ever nor issued a refund Just wasted 5 I d not recommend them unless its your last option and having the item delivered

Staff are unhelpful and food that they give out is obtained from the bins and skips behind retail shops and has been contaminated by being with raw meat that has not been kept chilled which will put you at risk picking up salmonella poisoning from the food Also items and toys that they give out are items have been disposed of as they are faulty so you could well be given a faulty dangerous item

volunteering for the gillingham street
volunteering for the gillingham street angels has given me back my confidence and self worth I use to go to the food bank I would go every day they was open not just for food being able to speak to people who understood my situation I then became a volunteer for the food bank and I loved every min the only problem was it shut at 1 and I didnt want to go home then I volunteerd at the main unit which shut at 5 which meant 6 days aweek I was some where I felt safe and away from my anxiety helping the charity that saved me I ve been volunteering with street angels for 2 years now i hate having a day with out them thank you
